RE: Argos clearance 75% *OFF* loads of items, starts Fri Oct 8
I`ve more or less phoned all the branches in and around Liverpool and everything more or less gone :(
Managed to reserve 2 headsets 6761068 and Fifa2004 6744157 from Speke store.
Does anyone know what console the fifa 2004 is for before I set off lol
Thanks :)
RE: EBAY SCAMS,,,,,,,WILL THE FOOLS EVER LEARN.,.................
Hi I personally don`t bother with Ebay due to the fear of being ripped off etc but this was in my local paper last night and I had to laugh.
"A man who put his friendship for sale on an internet auction has not been paid.
Stuart Donald, 23, had promised to be best friend for amonth on eBay.
But he has heard nothing from the winner, who lives in Aberdeen and bid £671.
Mr Donald, of Lumphanan in Aberdeenshire, offered to send emails,hand-written letters,
complimentary text messages and an offer of a shoulder to cry on.
The bidder,Yogger, has refused to answer emails and has been referred to eBay over the unpaid deal - which is legally binding"
I don`t know who the true mug is out of either the seller/buyer.
The likes of this is just plain ridiculous lol.
RE: JMB breadmaker for munchies
Dough!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
RE: Post Office Question
Call his bluff and say you`re looking further into the matter regarding his part in the whole thing.
It`sa pity there wasn`t a way you could compare the fingerprints inside the case and on the components to see if his are all over them :) .
Say you`re not happy at the whole incident and that you suspect he may of tampered with it and that resulted in the PC being useless.
You could always say Royal Mail are absolutely happy that the PC was complete in transit and not damaged in any way whatsoever and that the blame lies with the buyer who must of tampered with it.
Hope it all works out for you.Good Luck. :D
RE: Post Office Question
I wouldn`t worry too much about his so called opinion about the Pc and its components not being properly assembled in the first place.
Surely he`s shot himself in the foot by admitting he thought there was something wrong with it in the first place as soon as he unpacked it.
Most people would just send it straight back without plugging it in and especially if there were loose parts.
I would suspect this amounts to a certain degree of negligence on his own part.
Either he`s knackered it up messing around with it or he`s found a better deal and just wants his money back and had to knacker the PC up to give himself a valid excuse.
Surely the old quote Caveat Emptor applies here.
For all you know he might of swopped your components for others.
RE: Anyone bought a PC package from Time recently.
This company is also known as Pctogo.co.uk.
Prices aren`t bad for customising but its what the actual pcs are like.

RE: can a virus knack up a hdrive??
I may be wrong but isn`t the hard drive supposed to be the master and anything else should be set to slave?
RE: can a virus knack up a hdrive??
How do you know the hard drive is damaged?
Have you tried System Restore if on Win XP to see if a previous dates settings are okay.
It could be loss of drivers.
Try repairing Win XP or whatever OS it is.
What virus was it?
Try Sys Restore or fresh install.
Im sure theres probably other things you can do without doing these but its better coming from the Expert PC user.
Im sure theres one on here somewhere.
Good luck.
RE: High back Leather chairs £ 29.99 + V.A.T
Nice 1 kywy.
Hubby phoned them up to ask if they took Solo, the answer was yes but because of Trading Standard laws they are not allowed to sell to the general public.
Anyway I ordered one with the old plastic as I`ve just started up a home business ;) .
It`s due today(hopefully).
By the way did anyone order their free shortbread biscuits?
I forgot to add them to my trolley,I wonder if they throw them in anyway.
Probably not. :(
RE: High back Leather chairs £ 29.99 + V.A.T
Payment Method
You may choose to pay with Visa, American Express, MasterCard, Switch Card or Viking Account.
According to this from their website, there`s no mention of being able to use a Solo card.
Looks like I`ll have to hit the old plastic again.
RE: Screwfix
It makes me want to brawl my eyes out.
RE: News of the world DVD. England 5 Germany1
:D Last I heard Everton`s management were thinking of changing the clubs name to Tampax.
Apparently they thought it was appropriate as Everton were going through a bad period.
HAHAHAHAHA
Whats the difference between Everton and a teabag?
The teabag stays in the cup longer hehehehehehe. :p

RE: Screwfix
:p `Chuck` these threads in the bin,it`s all beginning to get a bit `boring` now.
RE: Beware of CopyDVDPro software
Kywy,I wasn`t correcting any spelling mistakes you may have made or commenting on any spelling mistakes.
I was merely pointing out that the correct term was "Caveat Emptor" and not "Caveat Emperor" as you had stated.
I never stated that I was 100% correct hence the joke that some of my brain cells had died since I studied Law.
I am not one of these people that nit pick over other people`s spelling mistakes.
Sadly some people do and I tend to think that these people think and believe that they ARE 100% perfect and of course they`re wrong.
Apologies accepted and on this occasion I will forgive you as you couldn`t have known what my true intention was when I made the post.
It was simply to inform you as to what the correct wording was.
Regards,
AnnMarie.
RE: A little PC help needed please! Pt. 1 (PowerDVD)
Brian try this link.
http://www.gocyberlink.com/english/index.jsp.
You could always contact support.
Don`t you have a copy of the PowerDVD XP software?
If so just run the cd again or click on PowerDVDsetup.exe and this should reinstall PowerDVD again.
RE: Beware of CopyDVDPro software
It`s Caveat Emptor(buyer beware)Kywy and it applies to private sales between private individuals.
I don`t think Caveat Emptor applies to sales between a business and a private individual.
That`s if my memory serves me right,it`s been quite a few years since I studied Law and some of my brain cells have died since then lol.
RE: 101cd.com -Make sure its a no go!
I`m having exactly the same problem with scancom.
I still haven`t received the usb radio I ordered from them on 17th March.
The money has been taken from my bank account.
I`ve emailed them about 5 times now and they still haven`t replied to them.
Anyone else had any problems with this company?
RE: Minato z9 dvd players at Netto £50
Its another foreign food firm on the same lines as Lidl and Aldi.
I think it`s dutch but I maybe wrong.
I`ve been there before in the past and I can honestly say the tinned food is slightly more edible than Aldi(I feel a libel claim coming on).
Try it for yourself see what you think, although the Dvd player won`t be edible(only kidding).
RE: FREE Cupholders, Absolutely FREE
i would suggest u use yours for stirring the tea in your free cupholder mate
RE: Free D-Link DSB-R100 PC FM USB Radio
I ordered one of these a few weeks ago and still haven`t received it.They`ve taken the money for it though ,so it looks like I will have to chase them up on it.
RE: Best Wishes To All
Best wishes to you too and all other reviewers.
RE: ARGOS all PS2 games £29.99
I got Vice City a couple of weeks back from Argos for £29.99.
Hubby was made up.
Pity they didn`t have Pro Evolution2 for that price too.
RE: Lager Drinkers £8.99 for Crate of Carlsberg
Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssss.............................
I do buy Stella because I am Stella drinker and I do buy the Export but a lot of people I know that will be coming to my house over the xmas and new year don`t like stella or export as its too strong for them so I`ve catered for them.
Another point once the hardened drinkers are that sozzled they will drink anything anyway and not even notice the difference.
Its better to have aload of ale in than just 1 or 2 crates of real quality lagers in and run dry.
Oh by the way I do buy Bud Ice as well and Rolling rock.
My parties make everyone happy as I cater for everyones alcoholic tastes.
Lager Drinkers £8.99 for Crate of Carlsberg
For all those lager drinkers out there Somerfield and Kwik Save are doing 24 cans of Carlsberg lager for £8.99.
I think the Somerfield offer ends on 10th Dec but Kwik Saves ends 31st Dec.
I`ve got 8 crates in already and going to get more in for Xmas and New Year.
Kwik Save are also doing other drinks offers.
You can find out more on their website.www.kwiksave.co.uk
RE: SM (Supervision?) dvd player @ lidl
I said I`ve requested, that doesn`t mean they will. Its a store in Cloud Cuckoo land and the manager in question is Ivor Biggin.
Hope this manager and this store doesn`t get into trouble for this hehe.
RE: SM (Supervision?) dvd player @ lidl
I`ve already requested that two silver ones be put aside for me.All I know is they come with 3 yrs warranty but if I find anything out about the macro I`ll post it on here.
RE: www.littlewoods.com...£10.00 off when you spend £20.00 or more!!!
I ordered two kids coats last night using this £10 off voucher.
I got an email today saying that they require further information before they can complete my order and I`m to contact their Cutomer Service Team.
I paid by credit card and I know I`ve got the credit available.
I`m just wondering if they`ve got onto me using a discount voucher before and that its not my first online order.
I think the item has to be worth £20 regardless of P&P so you might have to order something else to take it over the £20 mark to get the discount.

It`ll be interesting to see if I get the same reply from them.
RE: 16 X 10 X 40 CD-RW drive for £12.98 at Jungle....clearance special
Its worth a try even just to let them know that people are annoyed with the way that they`ve handled this.
I don`t expect anything from them,I just wanted to voice my opinion to them especially as when the order was accepted it did say despatch date 30th November.
