Are any Toshiba players remote hackable...?
Are Toshiba DVD players as much a pain in the backside as Sony players to hack?? Cant find any remote hacks anywhere for any player.
Can anyone help me out here or is it a case of MOD CHIP only...?

Look guys, I`ve got a Hitachi 305 and I bought an Aiwa remote from www.dvdlibrary.co.uk which allows me to hack the player to play any region dvds and laughs in the face of RCE encoding. All you do is press 2 buttons, the tray opens and you load your disc and enjoy the movie.
No chipping, no messing about with remotes and warranty still in tact. What more do you want for 25 nicker. And i`m told it works on ALL firmware.
Give em a try.....

Samsung 511 help needed...
I have tried to hack my Samsung 511 using the remote hack found on this site but it doesn`t work. I am sure I`m definately doing it right, but no success. I bought it over Xmas, could it be a firmware problem or should it work whatever version it is???
Any help is most appreciated.

Selling DVD`s....
Anyone offer any help on setting up my own DVD shop (or e-tailer). Need to know where best to get my trade DVD`s for example wholesalers or distributors. Not interested in copies this is to be a pukka business.

Also which is the best code to input as everywhere I look its Play 274 or play 159....which code do I use?

I have a DVP 305e and have it hacked using the Aiwa Remote I bought from DVDlibrary.co.uk. My region 1`s work fine but I`m not sure about MACROVISION. Worth checkin the site and asking them.

Recording DVD onto VHS
If I want to record my DVD`s onto video (assuming I have MACROVISION disabled) will I need to connect my dvd player directly to the video or should I be able to leave it as it is, connected to the TV. I`ve tried to tune my video to the dvd player through the telly but the video can`t find it (or at least it doesn`t show up).
Am I tuning wrongly, or should the DVD be hooked directly to video?

If my TV turns out not to be NTSC compatible is there anything I can do other than buy a new TV. Are there any conversion boxes or anything that might do the trick so I can watch my lovely R1 DVD`s???

Remote arrived this morning and the instructions see to work. I pressed the buttons and th word ADJUST appeared and the tray opened up.
Unfortunately my first Region 1 DVD has yet to arrive from DVD BoxOffice but can I presume that if I`ve got this far then it will work???

Will I have any grief with Hitachi 305 remote hack??
I have just ordered a remote control from dvdlibrary.co.uk who assure me that by pressing two buttons my Hitachi 305 will be multi region and RCE compliant.Its cost me £25.00 and will hopefully arrive next week.
Do any of u Hitachi guru`s expect me to have any difficulty reading any R1 dvds and therefore can I start to hammer my credit card and purchase films at will? I couldn`t resist to buy X-Men and have ordered that already, but should I wait till the remote arrives? I know it sounds stupid but I`ve gone DVD crazzzzzy!!!!!

Just wanna say thanks to DVD Reviewer. I`ve just "burst" onto the dvd scene and a site like this has proved invaluable. Lots of good info and links to stuff I would never have known about.

Anyway, re: DVDBoxoffice, I ordered x-men from them 3 days ago and still haven`t had a confirmation email that it has been shipped. Doesn`t inspire me to buy from them.

For those who may want to buy region 2 dvd`s you can`t go wrong with these guys. Prices are cheap (box set of Farscape was £17.99 as opposed to £24.99 in the high street).
Super fast free delivery and on top of that I think I benefitted fro a cock up. I bought 5 box sets. All were OK except one which was faulty. Sent back faulty DVD (at no cost) and within a couple of days they re-sent the whole order again!! So I ended up with 9 boxsets for the price of 5.
