Page 1 of Phillips 701- are there limits?

If I remote hack my 701 with the on-for-all 6 remote, am i limited to 25 or will it be forever more multi region?

Also which is the best code to input as everywhere I look its Play 274 or play 159....which code do I use?

I think you are a little confused. Look at the Multi Region hack for all Philips using the OneforAll Remote at this very web site. Once hacked with this remote, it is for ever, yes no times limit. Your DVD will auto read any Region disk ie. MultiRegion forever

The 25 times limit and Play 274/159 codes related only to programming using the Philips remote supplied, don`t do it. You have to keep re-programming with different codes to change regions and yes eventually your DVD will lock up.
But even that can be oversome, as there is a reset code.

There`s no code to reset the player if you`ve locked it by entering codes more than 25 times.
The only way to reset a locked player is by connecting it with a PC and using hyperterminal to reset the NVRAM
Use One4All remote hack to enable region free without troubles.
