Which method did you use? How do I check the Demux rate? e-mail me if you can.

Has anyone had any problems playing Video Cds in Aiwa 370?

Particularly the ones they`ve `created`.....?

HELP!!! VCD problems with AIwa 370

I`ve made a couple of VCDs and burned them to CDR - they skip when I play them on my AIWA whether I`d written at 4x or 1x. Yet other VCDs that I`ve just copied from other CDs (obviously made by someone else) play fine. I`ve tried CD Creator and Nero and get the same problem. I`m using the same brand of CDR that works on other copied VCDs. Can anyone help?

RE: VCD Playback on AIWA 370

does it matter that my VCD is one file that lasts 60 minutes? I`ve noticed that some others that play back fine are less than this, such as 30 or 40 mins

RE: VCD Playback on AIWA 370

I`ve got some old VCDs that I copied from a mate that I burned at 4x and they play perfectly. Is it NERO? Should I use CD Creator (although it seems more complicated). Surely if the problem was a buffer underrun then the CD would not work at all?

just waiting for Jimbo......

RE: Making the most of available RGB SCART and S-Video SCART inputs

I have the same TV I think - is it a 28" widescreen? I too have the same problem - I`ve put my DVD into AV1 which is the RGB and Sky Digital into AV2 - the picture is certainly watchable but not as good as through AV1 - I need a suggestion too!!!

VCD Playback on AIWA 370

I`ve made a couple of VCDs using NERO burned on to CDR. When I play them on my DVD player every so often the picture stutters and so does the sound. Its as if the player is struggling to read the CD. I`ve tried burning at 1x and I have tried using differnt brands of CDR such as Verbatim Samsung and Delta with the same results. Any suggestions??? The CDs and the original MPG play perfectly on my PC

RE: AIWA 370? How do I get one?

Mine says champagne on the box, but it looks pretty much silver to me - looks nothing like gold whatsoever - got it from comet about 4 weeks agao

RE: Watching Reigon 1 on Aiwa 370 and general picture qulality issues

Should I get a gold SCART lead then - can you tell the difference?

I think my Madonna - Immaculate Colection DVD bought about a year ago might just be poor quality!

Watching Reigon 1 on Aiwa 370 and general picture qulality issues

I don`t know if it`s my eyes or not, but when I`m watching DVDs (mainly reigon 1 but also some reigon 2) I can see very faint horizontal lines on the screen. Are reigon 1 DVDs poorer quality when watched in Europe?

I am only using cheap basic SCART leads - might the picture improve if I get Gold ones or is there a setting in SETUP that I need to adjust? I tried Pseudo PAL OFF but I`m not really sure whether it made a difference.

Also, which is the best setting to choose on the back - Auto, NTSC or PAL - does it make a difference?

Thanks

RE: Should I buy the Aiwa 370?

I`ve bought one eventually! All the online places mentioned including hed.co.uk, bennetts, hughes-tv etc have all sold out with no more stock arriving so I had to buy from Comet for £199.99. Tried it last night and it`s superb!! Excellent picture and sound. Reigon hack worked no probs. My only gripe is that uou cant access a chapter directly just by pressing a number key e.g. 8 for chap 8. You have to bring up the onscreen menu and access it from there. If that`s the only thing I can find to moan about then it must be a bloody goog player

Stuey C says AIWA DEFINITELY ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!

Should I buy the Aiwa 370?

Any comments? I am pretty much new to this - thanks for all the help I`ve had already.

I want a player for under £200 - which one???? help!!!!

I am looking at the Wharfdale but this doesn`t have DTS. DOes this matter? I`m not thinking of connecting up to a home theatre or anything. I am also looking at Samsung 511, Phillips 711 and LG 3200 and perhaps Pioneer DVD 535.

I also want the player to play CD-rs as I have some Video Cds on these and also I want it to play MP3s if possible

As I`m new to this I would appreciate any help!

Thanks!!!
