RE: Too bloody good to miss - Sky+ for a Ton!!!!

If you`re an existing Sky customer, you just need to give some personal details like name, phone no:, postcode etc. They will also ask for your password.
You`ll need a credit/debit card too as they cannot bill the box using an existing direct debit.

You don`t need to know your account number or viewing card number.

RE: Too bloody good to miss - Sky+ for a Ton!!!!

I called this afternoon. First I was told they`d all gone. I called back and was told the offer was for BT employees only. I called again and was told the offer had ended.
I gave it one last try and got one. He asked for the offer code, but didn`t ask where I got it or who I work for.

My advice: keep trying.

RE: Which remote control?

I prefer the Philips Pronto myself. Much more features.
Check out http://www.remotecentral.com for more remote control options.

RE: Anyone studying for MCSE qualification?

It depends what king of job you want to get. I got my MCSE back in `98 but have never updated it. I guess I`m probably just an MCP now as most of the electives have been retired.
Doesn`t really affect me though, and I`m implementing W2k3 systems now. If I were going to go for a new MS type qualification, I`d forget MSCE (two a penny) and go for the easier (but rarer) Citrix qualifications.

I thought it finished on the 15th?

RE: Another cheapish DVD player(aren`t they all!)

Or how about the Tedelex TE118 Region 2 DVD player from Ricersounds for £29.95

they even do a multiregion version for £34.95.

Wharfedale 750s RG1 Jumpy Picture

Just tried Saving Private Ryan RG1 in my `REGION FREE` Wharfedale 750s from Tesco`s. Applied the hack, and the disk is recognised and starts but....
The sound is fine, but the picture jumps as if I were watching a realaudio stream over a crappy 14.4 modem.
Haven`t tried any other RG1 disks yet, as that`s the only one I have. I haven`t had any problems with RG2 The Green Mile, so I don`t think the players broken.
Anybody else had problems with specific films?
