I`m meant to be - and will do it this year, honest guv.

Problem is I`m to busy dealing with the stuff I`m meant to be sorting and working on, rather than studying some of the highly theoretical stuff that the MCSE covers.

CCNA is more marketable at the moment anyway. I`m also meant to be working on that <sigh>

It depends what king of job you want to get. I got my MCSE back in `98 but have never updated it. I guess I`m probably just an MCP now as most of the electives have been retired.
Doesn`t really affect me though, and I`m implementing W2k3 systems now. If I were going to go for a new MS type qualification, I`d forget MSCE (two a penny) and go for the easier (but rarer) Citrix qualifications.

Thanks for the replies,

I`m currently working thru` the A+ book (1000+ pages) so hopefully
i`ll be taking the exams within the next couple of months.

I decided to take up the course whilst I was off work for 3 months (injury!)
Went with NITLC in the end. So far so good, passed first 5 modules. :)
I`d like to get into the networking side of things when/if I finish the course.

Cheers

Ste.
