Is R2 catching R1 up???
Please correct me if I`m wrong, but
1) Is the time delay between R1 and R2 releases getting shorter?
2) Isn`t the quality of R2 releases (in general) better than R1?
3) Are R1 dvds THAT much cheaper than R2 ones (on the Net)?
4) Do you get stung by Customs & Excise if you buy too many R1 dvds in one go from US?
I may seem to be a R1 hater - I`m NOT. It just seems strange that there is this BIG thing about R1 discs. I maybe wrong - please let me know.

I`m also thinking of getting this machine from Tectronics...how did you find their service? Do you think it`s worth waiting until they develop their RCE cancelling chip?
By the way, I`ve heard that the picture on the Tosh 100 is superb - better than most other makes even twice as expensive - is this true?
Toshiba SD200E - just how good is it?
I`ve been reading rave reviews on this player, and even a reputable home electronics store told me to buy this before anything else.

Picture quality...R1 or R2?
My question (since I`ve never watched a R1 dvd) is which has the better picture quality - R1 dvds or R2 dvds? If there is a difference, is it a big difference?
DIGITRON Mark 3 dvd - RCE encoding and macrovision built in...
Does anyone have a Digitron dvd out there?
I`ve been advised to buy their new Mark 3 model, which has LOADS of features. including the above two, plus the ability to record from DVD to VHS!
I`ve never heard of the make before, so if you have a model, can you please let me know what you think of it.
