LG Electronics GSA-4081B DVD Writer

I am considering buying the above 8 speed dvd writer. It has got a good reviews in PC magazines. Apparently, only bad thing is software provided. I have Nero 5.5 already.

I bought my Philips 28 inch TV from John Lewis and got them to match a retailer in Video/Hi fi Magazine which was as competitive as the Internet. Got the free 5 year guarantee and delivery. They will not match online websites but some has shops where they are based.

I like driving games generally and also thought the Gamecube had none that were any good.

I am a console virgin but do not know which is the best one out of the X Box or PS2. I have ruled out the Gamecube because it is not selling well. (Or wasn` according to media so I thought that Nintendo might be abandon it.)

Any thoughts and advise appreciated?
