4691 is correct,,however,,what you should be getting is a 5 min. animation of the producers talking about the first series!,,Hmmm

There is a very small egg on the 2nd disc as well,,on the Bonus Material Menue,,a polaroid stuck on the wall will Highlight,,Press enter,,and see it develope in front of your eyes,,,,,,,bit boring this one actually!

I hate to say this,,but,,you should have ordered The Prisoner Box set from CDWOW,,like I did,,it is the Reg 0 35 Anniversary Special Edition one,,More extra`s,,etc. It took less than a week to get mine. CDWOW have a Great after service as well,,and a real Phone number which actually gets answered by a Human,,,some time ago,,I ordered the `Beatles Anthology` which did not arrive,,so I gave them a call, and they sent out a replacement there and then, that took 4 days to arrive,,,have orderd most of my DVD`s from them,if they don`t have in stock what I want,I get it from Play. Top notch Company`s,,both of them!

The GOTO button is so you can choose a Track or Chapter to,,well,,,,GOTO,,,instantly,,good little feature actually,,I use it to find Easter Eggs on a disc, as even Easter Eggs have to have a Track and Chapter number.

A few tricks you can try,,,1st. actually set your Player to 4.3,,and see what happens. 2nd,,,this sounds mad,,,but it will amaze you,,,(especially if you have a 4.3 TV, but works for widescreen as well),,but,,set your Player to NTSC play back,,(yes,,you read correctly,,I`ve not had `To Much Sun`,,NTSC!!!!),,,,then set your TV to NTSC as well,,(note,,not Auto,,NTSC,,on both),,and watch what happens!,,,,you may need to use the GOTO and set the Track to make some discs play,,,but ,,it`s worth the faff!!

PS:,,NTSC trick only works if playing a PAL disc!,,,

This sounds cheeky,,but it`s not meant to be,,,but have you had your Ears Checked out!!,,,,,apparently speech is a Low Freq.,,and if to much Wax builds up in our Ears,,,your Head Falls Off !!!!,,,with your ears still attached,,thus reducing your capability to hear Low Freq. Sounds!,,,

Apparently,,unless you have one of those Bloody Awful Large Plasma Screen TV`s,,you wont notice any real difference,,,I have heard they give a slightly sharper image on a Plasma!,,,and lets face it,,,Plasma TV needs all the Help it can get!

I`m Glad I came across this thread now,,I was actually thinking of ordering a few DVD`s of Splash,,,,but now,,after reading these reviews,,,I think I`ll give them a miss!,,

Actually,,There is a good lesson here for anyone in the online retail business who just may be reading this,,,`If you don`t give a good service,,,chances are you`ll end up mentioned on some Forum somewhere and losing potential customers!

I just wont shop at PC world anymore,,I once had to stand in my Local branch and Quote over and over again the `Sales Of Goods Act` untill they just got fed up with me in the end and replaced MY PC which was DOA!!!,,that was about 5 years years ago mind,,and this replacement (ADVANT 8520) has,,, to be fair, never given me a moments problem,, it`s the Staff at my local branch I`m not fussed for,,do they actually Train any of them in customer service???,,(not fussed for Dixons either!! )

Er,,,I think,,almost sure,that CDWOW are actually based Here in the UK,,,just up the road almost from me,,,they`re in Bucks.,,They just import their DVDs/CDs from the pressing plants in the far east,,,,Play do this also,,but they are based in Jersey.,,Both are VERY good reliable companies to deal with,,I use them a lot :) . I have just tried DVDPopcorn,,,just to test them out,,,,,I wont be Using Them again >:( !!!!!!!!!,,,I should have stuck to who I know,,,but we live and learn!!

Thanks for the info, My wife`s old saying,,"You Buy Cheep,You Buy twice" did spring to mind to be honest when I first saw it,,but it seems to be quite a popular choice,,,However, I have now found the Discs to be quite expensive (£9.99 for 3),,,,I think VHS will still be around for a while longer yet if the recording Media does not fall in price as quick as the hardware.

Has anyone else had Order problems with DVDPopcorn?

>:( >:( Has anyone else had order problems with www.dvdpopcorn.co.uk I pre-ordered a DVD disc way back in November, and the Money was taken and charged to my Credit card almost imeadiatly. This DVD was releasedOn Monday 12th January 2004, However, I am still waiting for my order. I have emailed them several times and received one excuse after another, including an Email that told me it was Now Out of stock and an other batch was on the way! when I complained that I had paid for the Disc in November and so should have been one of the first on the list to receive it,, I was told that the Email had been a mistake. Now I am told they are again, "Waiting for delivery". It does not help that this DVD is now IN stock from almost anywhere, (slightly more expensive though!) point is, I have Paid DVDPopcorn up front for this, it is out on general release, so it is they who should supply it to me,,shouldn`t they??.

MICO Espejo R311 DVD Recorder,,Worth getting??

:p I Just seen in my Local JS store this DVD recorder: for £199,00,Tasty price!! VHS can`t last much longer now so Question is,,is This make worth getting?. I am thinking of replacing my JVC video recorder. I already own a Sanyo 5.1 Theater System and a Wharfedale 750 (upstairs) so what I record on the Mico must also play on these DVDs. I am a bit ignorant of all the DVD record formats to be honest, I just know several exist and are not compatible with each other. The Mico I believe is DVDRW and DVDR. Does anyone know of any faults or problems with this unit or any drawbacks? Many thanks.

Fav. Beatles Album has to be the first! 'Please Please Me'. it is just so raw and so full of atmosphere, I get a real feeling of nostalgia that time shouldn`t allow me when I hear that!
Not got the Live at the BBC yet, though I have dropped enough hints to my missus and daughters for Fathers day! so who knows, I have heard it however, and it`s `Great` !!
Have you noticed how many `Let It Be` DVD`s there are now on Ebay? One person in UK has 14 for sale at £14.99 have emailed him for more details, he claims they are factory produced and the cover pic and picture on the disc looks impressive! They give the Email address as sdvdediwdlrow[at]moc.loa, if you're interested also.

Have read LOADS of decent books on THE BEATLES apart from THAT one; it`s difficult to get hold of. One of my favs is `The Man Who Gave The Beatles Away` by Allan Williams (Have it in both Hard Back and Paperback). I also have a great book that is Manly Photos, It`s HUGE and has a great print from `With The Beatles` on the front,,`SHOUT` is very very good and I prefer this book over Palmers `Official Biography', when Norman describes the Final roof top scene ( from `Let It Be`) he does it so well that your almost there! Feeling the cold breeze and drizzle on your face!
Alistair Taylor's Book "Yesterday and Today" is excellent also.

Everyone else included: Not got the Anthology yet??!!!,,,Like Gaz save your pennies, Flog your Gold teeth,,,Force Granny out on the streets,,,do what ever you have to do, but Get this Box set ASP, because If your Beatles Fan and you don`t , well, you might as well go and stick your system in the Bin!. LOL.

Loads of stuff really, I`ll give a quick List:

1/ Recollections-June 1994
The 3 Beatles in Paul's Kitchen Playing, singing, and taking a mind stroll down Memory lane.
2/ Compiling The Anthology
George ,Ringo, Sir Paul and Sir George at the Abbey Road studio detailing how they chose the tracks for the Anthology, George (M) Plays back the tape of the seminal First Take of `Day In The Life`. A bloody great little extra this!

3/ Back At Abbey Road- May 1995
They go back into studio 2 for a nose around and listen to some more Tracking tapes and waffle on about how the studio was then,

4/ Recording `Free as a Bird` and `Real Love`
A sort of Making off feature, how they lifted the two songs from John Lennon`s original Demo tapes, cleaned them up and added their own bits to the recordings. Quite interesting actually!

5/ Production Team.
Meet the Production Team and learn how they came to put the whole thing together.

6/ Making the `Free as A Bird` Video.
Joe Pytka (?) explains How the Video was made.

7/ `Real Love Video`
The entire Video that was not featured in the series, now re-mixed with 5.1 Surround sound.

Those who already have this set may have also noticed Loads of other stuff on the main features that were not included in the series also, I know,,coz I played my Old Recordings back about 2 months ago!.

I to, just recieved Mine this morning, it was 10 days late. To be fair to CD-WOW ,this was not their fault, but French customs being bloody minded holding on to ALL UK post for `Extra security checks` by some Jobs worth!,(Strange,but my order Does Not seem to have been checked or examind in any way!) CD WOW have been great over this issue and kept me informed, they even despatched a Replacement last Monday. I suspect that this is the one I recieved this morning, heaven knows what has happend to the Origional missing one, maybe some French Beatles Fan is enjoying it!,,but I don`t really care, I don`t need Two. This episode has not put me off dealing with CD WOW in any way,,they are a great HONEST company and I will be ordering from them again soon.
Talking about BEATLES, I have a rare `Hey Jude` LP,almost mint condition (dark Green Apple on record) have heard it`s worth a bit, what is the Best way of selling it,,Ebay or QXL ?

Best Buy IS from CDWOW.com at £32.99. CDWOW are very reliable and offer a great service (well they have been great with me so far!). Shops will be expensive,,expect to see it around the £49.99 mark in the high street. You could try www.onlinepriceguide.co.uk or www.dvdpricecheck.co.uk to help find the best price`s on the internet, but I bet they all come up with CDWOW as the Best!.

I Pre ordered my Anthology a few weeks ago and my credit card charged me exactly £32.99. Had an Email of CDWOW yesterday to say that it has now been dispatched and will be with me in the next 3-5 days. I have bought stuff from CDWOW before and have been really pleased with the service and the Cost,never been charged extra for C&E. I recently bought 'The Prisoner' Box set for £35.00. This is different than the English Box set selling at £29.99 at Bensonsworld, it has a few more extras etc. and is 0 region. As for the other Beatles stuff,, don't hold your breath for a 'Let it Be' DVD (I'm so glad a mate of mine Taped it for me when it was shown on BBC2 some years ago!). As for the others,HELP etc. You can already get them from Amazon.de (The German site, you can use a website called Babblefish to translate the German into English. I have used them and they are very reliable! You can still, I think, get the BEATLES Box set if you search around, (I bought mine through a friend in the US). Although Amazon says it is Region 1, it is in fact, 0 Region. In fact, all the Beatles Discs are. Part of this Box set is 'The First US Visit' (also available separately). This has GOT to be the BEST early Beatles documentary I have ever seen!,,no Beatles Fan should be without THIS DVD,sell your granny's gold teeth if you have to, but get a copy of this ASP.
