is it worth repairing?
Got a panny DMR-E50 about 2-3 yrs old and it no longer wants to record to blank discs is it worth repairing or just go out and buy a new model?
If a new model what would you recommend bearing in mind i need it to be multiregional?

Once your disc is burnt/finalised will it then play or can it be copied again on a pc?

do you know wether the discs are then readable by your pc as mine never are after being finalised in my panny dmre50.

youll find most toshibas and hitachis have three scarts as i wanted 3 myself.i invested in the toshiba picture frame and cant rave anymore about the quality of this set
macrovision disabling
has the Samsung SVDDVD3E got a hack to disable the macrovision on it as im lookin to replace my 709 or does someone have a better alternative

the model and size of the toshiba is a 36ZP18Q this will eliminate the bars if you wish it also has built in 5.1 Dolby Digital so saves on the cinema system and it is generally a mighty fine looking tv with its picture frame and flat screen

buy a tv with changeable picture settings such as cinema on the toshiba picture frame as this gets rid of bars
recording with a panasonic dmr-e30
am i correct in thinking that the dmr-e30 will record ntsc and pal without the need of the mod chip that can be bought.this chip is only for multiregion playback is that correct.i would be grateful for confirmation on this as i am about to purchase one.thanks.
