am i correct in thinking that the dmr-e30 will record ntsc and pal without the need of the mod chip that can be bought.this chip is only for multiregion playback is that correct.i would be grateful for confirmation on this as i am about to purchase one.thanks.

This player can record PAL/NTSC,it can be made multi region with out a mod chip,it needs a firmware upgrade and a dealer remote control all done in about 10 mins!! I have done quite a few of these now.

how much is it to be made multiregion? where can i have this done im in teeside cheers im thinking of getting 1 when dixons get em back in stock

depends on the dealer around £50 - £70 ,I have been told that this model is now no longer available and will be replaced by another,I have one left in stock
