Pelle the Conqueror Layer change problems

I bought this disc some time ago, and slotted it into my collection.
Now, come time to watch, I find that it only plays the first layer, then skips back to the title screen!

DVD players which it failed to play on...
Panasonic RV20
Philips DVD711

Players it succeeded to play on...
Creative Labs DXR2

The company that produces this disc is Digital Entertainment, and its impossible to get their contact details anywhere so that this problem can be highlighted to them.

For SCANs Foreign customers.

It takes SCAN so long to respond to refund requests that by the time they do, the currency rates may have changed significantly and so you will probably lose out even more!

Nelley,

I though I was doing the decent thing by making you aware that I owed you money!

My Credit card has just been hit for IEP233.20, I only owed you IEP200.00, so now you owe me IEP33.20 / GBP26.72

I would appreciate if you could try and clear this up once and for all.

Regards,
John

Nelley,
I owe you IEP200.00, and I`m still emailing you. Am I daft or what?!
I see from postings at the DVD reviewer that the next batch of SC2000
players is going to have a new Decoder card, why don`t you release it with a
different model no (SC2000i), and lose the shaky status that seems to be
tied to it.

Also, when are you going to get your phone system sorted out. Its crap.
Totally crap. And its p***ing off your customers. This combined with a dodgy
player, and failure to get replys to email made me return mine.

I`m going to wait until the new batch arrives, and see what the verdict is,
if I haven`t got something by then, I might buy another SC2000 if it makes
the grade.

Good to see you in the DVDReviewer forum taking it on the chin! I suppose
thats how to keep the customer happy!

Let me know what the best way is for giving back the IEP200.00 that I owe
you, or atleast let me know if you want me to keep it as a gift!

All the best,
John

RE: Philips 750 Hack Permanent?

Hi Allan,

A friend of mine is soon to take delivery of a Philips 750 - Are the hacks are the same across the range? i.e. Flash for athe 950 applies to the 750 etc.?

Where does one get the flash upgrades + instruction etc? Are these available from Philips, or `through a friend`?!

I notice that in the HomeCinemaChoice review of the 750, a remote hack is available, but can lock up the unit, has anybody any experienced this?

Thanks in advance,
John

Mitsubishi BD10DVD Region free!

The Mitsubishi/Black Diamond BD10DVD is available in Southern Ireland, for as little as IEP239(GBP182) from http://www.powercity.ie, I`ve been told its region free by a sales guy.

Does anybody know anything about Mitsubishi/Black Diamond DVD players?

Thanks

RE: ATTN PORKPIE

Nelley,

Seeing as it is so difficult to contact you people on the phone, you might be kind enough to explain to me why I have not been refunded in full for my SCAN SC2000.

Currently I am out of pocket...
(Amount Debited) - (Amount Credited) + (Returns Shipping charge)
GBP27.91

John
