Good quality cable - RGB for plasma - advice please!

Anyone suggest a high grade cable at a decent price?

I need a 9 metre run from a Panasonic tuner box to the 42 inch plasma.
Needs 5 phono connectors: RGB H + V.

I`ve been told to go for Cord cable at approx £300.

Any better ideas - better deals etc?

Thanks in advance.

Aksmoe.

THX - when did it first arive in UK cinemas?

Anyone know when THX first appeared in UK cinemas?

I`m sure the UCI chain were showing movies in THX in 1989.

Any ideas?

panasonic dvd-r compatibility probs

Need some advice.

I just bought a Panasonic DMRE50EBS DVD-R machine

Great recordings on Datawrite blanks and Panasonic blanks.
Play back fine in the DMRE50EBS.

- but NONE of my recordings will play back on other machines I`ve tested.
The same brand blanks from friends recorders play back fine on each of my other machines.

The other players are: a Wharfdale, pioneer (5 year old model), and a panasonic portable machine - few years old, that plays almost anything you throw at it (including super videoCD with the new DMRE50EBS doesn`t seem to support).

Any ideas why MY recordings won`t play in these players?

Thanks!

Chigley / Trumpton / Camberwick Green DVD masters

Anyone know if the original negatives / film exists of Camberwick Green / Trumpton or Chigley?

The DVD releases are in desperate need of a clean up.

I know the animator burnt the original models for the series.
Hopefully - he didn`t get as frustrated with the film stock!

Thanks

RE: Twilight Zone the Movie - DVD

I didn`t realise the Lost Classic`s version existed. It looks like average `made for TV` work.

Twilight Zone has such a following - it`s a perfect candidate for a DVD release with all the trimmings.

Could the tragic on-set death of Vic Morrow be one of the reasons for no release?

Twilight Zone the Movie - DVD

Just saw "Twilight Zone - The Movie" on Sky.

It`s been deleted on video for years in the UK.
(You can pick it up for a few quid on video in the States).

Any news on a DVD release?

Would be a welcome addition to the collection.

RE: Looney Tunes / Bugs Bunny - what`s happening ??

Fingers crossed they give the Looney Tunes shorts the treatment they deserve. Restoration, original aspect ratios, archive interviews with animators & voices etc
.
There`s some treasures locked away in the vaults. I just hope we get to see them.

If you can`t wait until the Looney Tunes DVD releases, take a look at:
"Chuck Jones: Extremes and In-Betweens, A Life in Animation".
Fascinating documentary - with some great extras.

Night Gallery DVD release?

I`ve been searching for episodes of "Night Gallery", the 70`s show from the creator of The Twilight Zone, Rod Serling.

I`ve heard rumours of a possible DVD release later this year in the States.

Any ideas?

Citizen Smith region 2 dvd edits

I noticed on the back cover of the new Citizen Smith DVD (series 1 & 2), there`s a message along the lines of: "Due to contract reasons - some edits heve been made." Anyone know what, where and why?

RE: Back to the Future from CDWOW

The picture quality is great.

Having 3 discs piled on top of each others seems a little odd.
There`s a slight chance of them getting scratched.

It`s the 1st time I`ve seen packaging like this.

RE: Back to the Future from CDWOW

My copy arrived this morning.

Spindle pack (1 spindle for 3 discs - yikes) dual region 2/4.

Only took 2 days to arrive.

Back To The Future (R2) - 10 hours of special features?

On the back of the R2 BTTF triple pack is a Special Features sticker covering up the original Special Features info.

The original box info reads "10 hours of special features".
The new overlayed sticker: "5 hours of special features".

(The CDWOW pack (3 disc spindle) shows "5 hours" of extras)

Have we lost 5 hours of special features?

Or was it just a mistake that`s made the packaging of this important release look a bit naff?
