Twilight Zone the Movie - DVD

J Bravo (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Wednesday, 12th March 2003, 21:50

Just saw "Twilight Zone - The Movie" on Sky.

It`s been deleted on video for years in the UK.
(You can pick it up for a few quid on video in the States).

Any news on a DVD release?

Would be a welcome addition to the collection.

I remember seeing this film years ago and thought it was a classic! Not a great fan of the series but really enjoyed this film. No idea if its been released on DVD yet but hope someone else knows!

Hi Pete,

This isn`t what they`re after - this is the very dodgy Rod Serling`s Lost Classics which was a tv movie and nothing like the excellent movie with John Lithgow, Dan Akroyd etc.

I didn`t realise the Lost Classic`s version existed. It looks like average `made for TV` work.

Twilight Zone has such a following - it`s a perfect candidate for a DVD release with all the trimmings.

Could the tragic on-set death of Vic Morrow be one of the reasons for no release?
