Many of their items including a MYNEWDIGITAL 106 KEY FLEXIBLE DESKTOP COMPUTER KEYBOARD (WHITE) are false bargains. Like just how much can it cost to post one of these?

First of all, it`s commonplace with Marketplace sellers to sell items with low prices; with Amazon`s set categorical postage fees in place, they can gain their profits from the `overcharge`.

Secondly, and just to make this clear, this isn`t from Amazon. This is from a Marketplace seller. Amazon unwisely changed their layout a while back so that it`s harder to differentiate between Amazon themselves and Marketplace sellers.

Thirdly, that`s a referral link, as are all the OP`s `bargain` threads.

Am I being thick or what? The item is shown as having a boxed weight of 2Kg and Amazon Marketplace deliveries for Electronics are shown as £4 + £0.50 per kg = £5 not £6.98. Where does the £6.98 come from?

I agree with all the adverse comments, I just want to know if I have missed something that might be useful to know for the future.

Amazon fixes the p&p at £4, £4.50 or £5 - depending on it`s stated weight of the item. The seller then takes this into consideration when setting the price.

So there`s no bargain or even rip-off. Just look at the total amount and decide if it`s worth it. The previous price quoted was £6.98 (whether correct or not) for the item incl. p&p. It was also stated that the set could be got for £2.99 - factor in actual postage - then whatever profit - seems about right to me.

Of course Amazon will take a big chunk of that from the seller in fees, so they`re probably not making that much out of it.
