JVC DVD DROPS FRAMES - HELP!!

please can someone help me. i have a JVC - XV515 which is set to play multi region. it plays and sounds great region 2 and would region 1 except that it keeps dropping frames!!!!

i`m sure that its set to NTSC in its set up menu, and the tv is also. is there some other setting it needs to be on or is this a common problem for this player?

can anyone please help me!!!???!!

RE: 28 Days Later *SPOILERS*

im glad to see that there are people enjoying this modern classic. i personally felt that this was a well concieved and executed homage to the genre.

it worked well for me on 2 levels, the first that it was set/shot in a britain (i could relate to it visually, also very triffid like), and the second was in the way it was written. we`ve all seen what happens when zombies go made (as seen in any of romeros living dead classics), but what i felt this film portrayed brilliantly was what happens on the emotional level.

there is such a thing as emotional horror and this too can be effective (the omega man, for example). in fact, 28 is at its weakest when it starts to wonder into the standard horror scenarios.

mr garland and mr boyle have delivered a classic, well for me they have. and classics are a hard thing to come by these days. i fancy a laugh, anyone for red dragon!

why by A O T C (R1)? would it be for the BBFC cut jango fett headbutt? wouldn`t better picture quality be a better choice? i need to know before i purchase!!!!

RE: Question about region 1 films????

i have this problem too!! i have a jvc player which is set to the correct mode and my tv, which is also jvc, is also set to ntsc but it still drops frames!!!!!!!

if anyone can come up with a solution to this, i too would be grateful.

RE: Escape from New York

you may sleep well in knowing that a special edition for escape is to be released next year. as for the extras, im not entirely clear but all the atlanta robbery footage has been found and restored. last i heard carpenter had just finished re-editing it back together, putting its original score back and was in the process of dubbing the sequence.

new commentary`s (whether the russell and carpenter track will also be added is also to be seen - heres hoping!), and debra hill was boasting about some new extras which should keep the fans of escape very happy.
