please can someone help me. i have a JVC - XV515 which is set to play multi region. it plays and sounds great region 2 and would region 1 except that it keeps dropping frames!!!!

i`m sure that its set to NTSC in its set up menu, and the tv is also. is there some other setting it needs to be on or is this a common problem for this player?

Some JVC players have the ability to output NTSC discs in PAL 50. As the original (R1) source uses 30fps, that means the player has to drop 5 frames each second in order to run at PAL`s usual 25fps. So make sure your player is set to Pure NTSC output (there might be a switch on the back of the player)....

Obviously, you might already know that and may just be very intolerant of 3:2 pulldown (which is inherent/unavoidable with the majority of NTSC displays).
