RE: Prince Harry in Taleban fighting
It`s a pity the news has come out while he is still there but they were clearly going to use the documentary footageon his return. The positive aspect is to remind people of the men out there and what they are going through. When is the last time Afghanistan has been shown on the news except for a brief photo of some poor dead soldier?
RE: Pixar short films
I`ve seen it in spanish shops for about 15/16 euros.Obviously the packaging is in Spanish but it can be watched in English
RE: Fancy competing in a daily QUIZ?

RE: Which is the best Laurel and Hardy short to start with?
Thanks for all the suggestions. I haven`t "officially" got the set as it is my Xmas pressie and I don`t know anything about it ;) Father Xmas and all that! I`m counting the days :(
Which is the best Laurel and Hardy short to start with?
Title says it all really. I have a young son (age 6) and the L&H boxset. I am wondering which short would be the best to get him started? Any ideas?
RE: Naughty North korea.
I`ve watched Loose Change and many other conspiracy theory videos on 911 doing the rounds. It is interesting to read the counter arguments to them before getting too worked up. Try these sites ;)

Frasier And Cheers R2 Dvds
I`ve heard rumours that there won`t be any more series of Frasier on R2. Does anyone know if this is true? What about Cheers? I have been collecting both but they seem to have stopped at 4. I know there are various R1 out there but do they have the variety of subtitles which the R2 do? :/
Problem Opening new window in Explorer Disregard
This is driving me mad! Whenever I right click in Internet explorer to open in new window it only offers the option to save to disk. This happens when I click on Listen again in the BBC website. Any ideas which setting I have to change? :/ Solved it Sorry!

RE: Yes, yes, I have seen Serenity. Who wants to touch me?
Until this thread I had never heard of Firefly. Do you have to see it before Serenity or can the film be watched and understood on it`s own terms?
RE: What are the best film dvds without a Cinema release?
What`s Mean Creek about? Not one I `ve heard of :/
What are the best film dvds without a Cinema release?
Scrolling through pages and pages of films listed at Play, Amazon etc I began to wonder if any of these straight to dvd releases are any good? Which DVDs would you recommend amongst the shelf fillers?
RE: Doctor Who to visit Eastenders
I really hope it isn`t true. There is a fine line between irony and self parody. Surely the best episodes in the previous series were those which didn`t play the comedy too broadly. Which was better, the child in the gas mask or the farting aliens? :/

RE: What tales or movies, or nightmare, tormented your childhood?
I remember coming downstairs as a child and seeing a movie (possibly Telly Savalas) where a man got his foot stuck in the track on an underground track. Living in London it kept me standing well back from the tracks for years.I also was scared rigid of farms after seeing a public information film about the dangers of farms where children were killed by tractors and died hideous deaths after drinking nameless liquids :o

RE: School Holidays?
I teach at a school in the North of Spain where we about to finish at the end of the week and then take july and august off. The kids are exhausted as we have just finished a 3month term without a single break. June has been in the mid 30`s almost every day in non air conditioned classes. Imagine the expense of air conditioning a whole country just to be able to be in class all year!
RE: How Did You Get Your Display Name?
I was always a big fan of The Saint novels ( not the Val Kilmer disaster!) and Simon Templar always used the alias Mr Tombs
RE: Which Premiership player do you hate the most...?
Never said he wasn`t talented but there have been games in Euro 2004 and against Spain when he has been easily wound up or just gone mad. Hope he learns but hasn`t shown much sign of it up til now :D
RE: Which Premiership player do you hate the most...?
Wayne Rooney.
An appalling example for kids everywhere. Anyone with eyes can clearly lip read his contant verbal abuse aimed at the referee and anyone else who happens to be on the pitch.I can`t stand the way all the pundits excuse him by saying he is young. There are young players who don`t behave like complete maniacs week in week out. A total liability for England as there is no guarantee he`ll finish the match
RE: VIRGIN SALE better than HMV S***e...
Try Amazon for a 105 pounds then ;)
RE: Radio reception on speakers!
Thanks for the advice. When I`ve woked out what it means I`ll try it ;)
Radio reception on speakers!
Just wondering if this is normal or a fault on my speakers. I live near to an FM radio station in Spain. I used a pair of cheap speakers without any problems for a while but then decided to upgrade to some Altec Lansing 2.1 speakers. Whenever they are plugged in they pickup a low but irritating reception of the local station. Should I take them back or is it just a case of being too efficient? :/ Thanks for advice
