Why bother PAYG when you can get it on the Vodafone website free just paying £15 a month with 100 anytime minutes and 50 texts per month.grand total for the year £180.

In a test of DVD "back up" progs here http://www.cdfreaks.com/article/114/2
you will see the compression speeds of DVD2one, CloneDVD DVD Shrink and DVDXCopy XPRESS. DVDXCopy XPRESS was the slowest of these 4.
Admittedly this test was done last year but with the improvements DVD shrink 3.1 has, I think it`s hard to beat....And free.

Been with lovefilm for 3 weeks now of a 4 week trial.
Initially seemed very good with fast turnaround of DVDs, but lately have been very slow.
One DVD I sent back took 8 days till I got next DVD back, last 2 DVDs had a turnaround time of 4 days each, not that great in my opinion.
Lovefilm don`t seem to work weekends (no e-mails replied to either) so send a DVD back on a Friday and they wont process it till monday at least, then it`s gotta get through the post to you.
Not too bad for a free trial but not good if you are paying £15/pm....I`m looking to cancel.

I had exactly the same problem...It was zone alarm firewall preventing me, if you got a firewall on turn it off or configure it.

if its asking for a pin number and the phone doesn`t usually require one then the pin number is for the sim....if the phone was locked you would get a network error.

Another option is to try the website for yout specific hard drive.
Maxtor do the maxblast 2.... western digital do the data lifeguard tools.
These do diagnostic checks, bios checks,easy install etc.
They might help getting the hard drive recognised.

Don`t understand why you are formatting C drive using 98 boot disc when the option to format is on the XP pro CD...Why not use that option?

In your earlier post you stated that you have played non region 2 discs before so clearly it "had" been multi region chipped.
You never explained fully why it wouldn`t play....disc error? loading error? no pic/sound?
You also must understand a PC will play just about any disc put in it whereas a DVD player is much more "sensitive"

While I`m sure RS will sort you out another player I would take along the Nemo disc to try out instore just to be safe.

Done it quite a few times....
You just need direct view to the TV or in my case a wife in between.
Don`t loosen the bolts completely, keep a bit of tension on them so you dont make too big a movement...Move around till you get a picture then do horizontally till it the best poss pic...then vertically till best pic.

A bit basic I know but end result is perfect.

I have not spent £30 with Virgin but they gave me the unlock code for the Samsung C100, just gotta find a way to disable the virgin start up screen now....any ideas?

I got the Tosh 220E and yes it does play JPEG`s from my digital camera so no need to buy a new DVD.

Just tried it again to make sure.....
Basic way to put photos onto disk....cd-r in this case....open Nero....select Video cd ...drag ya JPEG`s over......burn as normal.

Put cd into DVD player and use "skip " function to scan photos 1 by 1

I`ve got a Nokia 3310, and I see no reason to upgrade. It functions as a phone and I can send and receive texts, what else do I want from it?

I got that two years ago for £99 on PAYG.

I`ve had my 3310 for nearly 2 years on PAYG and decided it`s time for a change, after 1st year will do the same as you would....go on PAYG...it will just have cost me less over that 1st 12 months....can`t you see it that way?

Well I`m going the other way......PAYG to Contract..

I want a Nokia 6100 but refuse to pay upwards of £200 for it on PAYG just to end up then having to pay loads more for using it.

I can get a 6100 on contract with 100 x-network mins and 50 free texts a month for £15 a month total cost for a year £180.

So for at least £20 less than the cost PAYG you also get 1200 mins and 600 texts....

You really can`t argue with that.
