RE: is My Little Eye worth watchin?

Has anyone bought the DVD special edition? Any good, as the reviews have been positive on the extras front, especially on the multiangle sex scene ;-)

RE: Die Another Day

i have yet to see the dvd so i can`t directly comment on your issue about the multiangle loopouts.

however from what i know... if the logo appears at a certain point in the film and this logo is not appearing, use your subtitle button on your remote and you`ll probably find two extra subtitle streams - these streams store the subpicture which is the logo - one will be for off/one will be for on. it seems by default the multi-angle icon should appear but i guess on some players it won`t. also check and see whether there is a setup menu where you can activate this icon as on/off. if its been authored this way, you can then hit enter and you should loopout. if it just another angle stream at that chapter, then perhaps the enter button won`t activate and you`ll have to use the angle button. also try watching it in both 16:9 and 4:3LB mode. the logo might not appear in 16:9, but it may appear in 4:3LB.

as for the film, the effects were shocking. shocking to say because they were done by various london posthouses...

RE: Trainspotting - Special Edition!!!!!

It`s being released by Universal.

RE: My Little Eye DVD

Blockbuster advertised (i think) 5 Feb release of the rental version for UK and i think the retail version will probably be released soon after.

RE: LOTR Ruined!!!!!

A question: the extended version has approx. 30mins of extra footage but i`ve noticed that the fan club credits runs for about 18mins. Is the credits exclusive of the extra time??

RE: Mulholland Drive

from what i could remember, i reckon the first part of the film was essentially a dream - dianne/betty`s dream...or nightmare...and then she wakes up in the second half...hmmm...

LOTR Audio Levels

Just bought a copy of LOTR and noticed the average audio level for 5.1 is quite low - basically had to turn up the amp to get decent levels. even worse when playing the movie back through a standard player-to-tv- setup where i ended up getting white noise from having turned the tv volume right up.

anyone experience the above?

regards

steve

RE: Lord Of The, Profit Making Fat Cats, Rings

The reason why there is two release dates is because:

1. there was no way peter jackson was going to be able to finish the extended version in time for an august release date. same deal with howard shore having just finished composing for these extra scenes. remember, jackson has TT to deal with...

2. new line wanted to get the movie out asap ($$), hence the august release date.

also, the dvd authoring house producing the dvd would have needed the assets (videos) well in advance for authoring, so november release date was probably more feasible.
