PS2 Post Hack Problems Any Ideas? Plus Films on CD-R!

Hi any ideas on these two please

PS2 - DVD Region X successfull but picture is black & white, do I really have to but a NTSC TV or is there a lead combo via a video I can use (or any other soluition?)

Also one of my son`s mates has downloaded movies off the net & then transferred them to CD-R (I didn`t think you could do this until DVR arrived!) Is there a method you know opf playing these on a PS2? Maybe chip hack player?

All advice welcome.

Thanks,

Phil

RE: DVD Region X for PS2

Turns out the software no longer comes with the dongle so you have to buy a Memory Card (we knew this) but my son hadn`t formatted the b@$£y! Memory Card he brought & this was the main cause of the problem!

Long and short of this is DVD RegionX worked but you need to supply your own Memory Card (don`t forget to format!) and you will need the codes & instructions from Datel web site.

Thanks again for your help & prompt advice

RE: DVD Region X for PS2

Yeah thanks Lee, I`ve done that with no luck. I`ve emailed their support desk but with no response yet

DVD Region X for PS2

Hi Guys,

Any ideas on this one or a web site you know of that could help. My son has a Play Station 2 and has brought DVD RegionX from Datel to convert it to multi region. It sounds simple & the instructions are if he can get past the first stage where the PS2 boots up and says Not Licenced to Sony Europe.

Any ideas or similar problems experienced elsewhere?
Any help appreciated.

RE: Help Please - Hack For Phillips DVD 751

I have looked and searched but I am looking for a specific hack for 751 - The idea of a help forum is to get help so I suggest if you have a problem with that (which you obviously do) then you go and join some other forum where you can waste your own and other peoples time.

Nothing is "verth" than a complete idiot like you

RE: Help Please - Hack For Phillips DVD 751

I saw it but I didn`t want to use it especially if someone else had already discovered a working hack for the 751

RE: Need help on Samsung 709 hack

Piece of Cake - HAVE DONE EXACTLY THE SAME HACK WITH SAME 1 IN 5 HERE IS THE SEQUENCE

Press Random on DVD remote to display DVD Adjust (another way of getting to this point is detailed below)
Insert Region 2 DVD and press Play
Go to set-up (DVD player not film)
Go to parentall lock and select password it should read 7777
Change Password to 3521
Change Parental lock level to 1
Play DVD for a few secs
Remove DVD and switch off
Switch on inset Region 1 DVD
Eject DVD
Enter Password 3521 for the parentall lock and off it goes!

You can go back to parentall lock and change it to unlock so you don`t have to keep typing it everytime you play a DVD, I aqlso changed the password back to 7777 and now it plays R1 and R2 fine, let me know how you get on.

Another method to get to the Adjust mode so you can the above Hack is as follows:

Press AUX (CD) button on remote then press Magic button until AUX flashes twice

Type in code 0121 AUX should flash twice again
Make sure NO CD in player and point remote at it, press Magic button type in 078, then press magic again and press 079
The tray should open and get ypu to the Adjust mode so you can carry out above hack.

Help - Hack For Philips DVD 955

Help does anyone know of a hack for the Philips DVD955 R2 player?

I see some Philips players can be hacked up to 25 times - I assume this means watch 25 R1 movies and you`re out
