PS2 Post Hack Problems Any Ideas? Plus Films on CD-R!

Hi any ideas on these two please

PS2 - DVD Region X successfull but picture is black & white, do I really have to but a NTSC TV or is there a lead combo via a video I can use (or any other soluition?)

Also one of my son`s mates has downloaded movies off the net & then transferred them to CD-R (I didn`t think you could do this until DVR arrived!) Is there a method you know opf playing these on a PS2? Maybe chip hack player?

All advice welcome.

Thanks,

Phil

If your TV is not compatible with NTSC, you can use a RGB lead to watch DVDs (assuming your TV accepts RGB of course!) The SCART lead that comes with the PS2 does not pass RGB, but you can buy a RGB-capable PlayStation SCART lead from any computer shop for 3 or 4 quid. The Region X allows playback via RGB, so you won`t get the component/"green" problem.

As for CD-Rs, forget it - I`m afraid the PS2 does not play VCDs in any way, shape or form.
