iv`e only had problems with DVDRs, SVCDs and VCDs play perfectly. can any of you recommend a DVDR media that works flawlessly on the Mico classica 20?

only one DVD-R has played fine on my player but it`s unbranded so i don`t know where it came from.

DVDRs also stutter on the mico classica mate, SVCD plays perfect though.

Paull, have you tried any DVDR media on it? i`m trying to find a 100% compatible DVDR media. I`ve gone through 3 different types of media so far and they all skip :(
Mico 20 and DVD-R media.
so far i have tried fws first gen media which won`t work at all. also tried prico branded media, which is skipping a lot.
can anybody reccomend any dvd-r media for the mico 20?

having a PC DVD drive in the player could be a good thing, i mean if the dansai/decca dies in a few years time due to the dvd drive then it can be easily replaced with any other region free PC DVD drive.

i just phoned sainsburys and they told me the situation with the mico players. apparently the new shipment has arrived in uk docks yesterday and all will be in sainsburys stotres in 5 days time. won`t be any in south wales stores though :(

whatever you do don`t buy the one from Index. i bought one and found it had pathetic RGB out, took it back the next day.

the new firmware you need is the decca firmware, i too have searched for it with no such luck
