Does any one know of a version of Festen (a.k.a. The Celebration) in any DVD format (1998, dir. Thomas Vinterberg, Denmark) which is available WITH English subtitles?

Well spotted. Had the VHS version with the song and found I was winding it fast forward all the time over it. The DVD producers must have done their research. Extras a lot better anyway.

Does anyone know when Gremlins 2 and Festen (with English subtitles)will be released or, if available, where I can get them from. Also, any date for a release of the Die Hard Trilogy in Region 2 or 4?

Hi,

I have a multi-region CYBERHOME ADL 528 which can handle PAL and NTSCV. It is plugged in to a TV which only has PAL capability. As a result, is it possible for me to view NTSC R1 movies without any loss of quality?

Hi,

I am currently getting an error 89030000 (unkown format) for Powerdvd 4.0 for DVDs which have previosuly ran fine on this software. I suspect this is due to installing NERO Burning ROM. No other DVD software will work either. In Powerdvd 3 (which also previously worked) I get an error 80900015 ("ASPI issue" and "ESDI issue").

Any solutions please? (Cyberlink haven`t bothered to reply ot my technical query)

Looking at the manual on the Cyberhome site (i dont have the player yet!) I have discovered that there are two headphone jacks. Should these produce semi-decent stereo sound? Furthermore, should these speakers be placed beside the player (they are magnetically shielded)?

I have recently ordered my first DVD player, a Cyberhome ADL528, for use on a single speaker portable. However, I have managed to salvage an old set of Labtech bass stereo speakers which I had for my ancient 386 PC. Is it possible to use these for this player without destroying it???? It has a single connector for both of the speakers, which is the same size as the one you would use for personal headphones.

Furthermore, as a DVD virgin, is it safe to stack your telly on top of it. I ask this cos I seriously lack space and have been doing years, but the manual suggests you do not place any heavy objects on it.
