RE: Why didnt Man Utd`s Ronaldo get sent off?? >:-(

Butters, you beat me to it. As a Liverpool fan, it would have been good to tell an Everton fan he was wrong. I also remember Duncan Ferguson swinging his shirt above his head after one goal, years ago (possibly against us or Man U) As long as it`s in front of their own fans, I can`t see a problem. Next they will be telling fans not to celebrate when a goal is scored. Back to Ronaldo, he should get sent off for those ridiculous step overs.

RE: Anyone recomend a cheap hotel in liverpool

Formule 1 Hotel (www.hotelformule1.com)is £30 per night and is a 5 min taxi ride. It`s just down from Albert Dock. I`ve not stayed there but always notice how cheap it is. There are a couple of Travel Inns (City Centre & Albert Dock) and they are £55 per night. Some of the bigger hotels might have special deals on, so it might be worth while phoning round.

RE: Fowler`s gone back to the scouse

Definately worth a gamble. He`s more of a natural goal scorer than anyone we`ve got at the moment. A short term fix until Owen comes back, prehaps?

RE: New PayPal Discount Code

I was just about to press "pay" on Paypal, when I thought I`d check this thread to see if there were any new codes. £9 saved, cheers.

I know someone who has got their Xmas decorations up already

Up they went on the 16th of Nov. Her poor husband won`t let her put the tree up though, until Dec 1st. Then it`ll be like an explosion at a fireworks factory, one of these houses that people come to drive past just for a look. Where we live isn`t much better. The shopping centre had a fireworks display on Bonfire night and turned on the Xmas lights at the same time. I like Xmas but lets keep it in Dec.

RE: Abel Xavaer (sp) Middlesborough player tests positive for drugs.

Sky Sports say he has failed a drugs test. All he has to do is ask the people who passed the test what the answers were and take the test again. FIFA will take pity on him as it was obviously not a performance enhancing drug. He probably tested positve for peroxide with hair like that.

RE: The Mr Kipling Cake thread, Whats your favourite of his exceedingly good cakes?

Has to be the Bakewell Tart, but I`d still come for afternoon tea if you only had Apple Pies or Country Slices.

RE: Holiday Romances

Seven years yesterday and still going strong. Lisa (Scottish) and I (English) met in Cyprus. After the holiday, I spent weekends up in Edinburgh. This happened for a few months until my contract of employment came to an end. I thought "sod it", and moved up to Scotland and got a job there. One 5 year old son and one daughter (due in 4 weeks) later, here I am. I would have rather took a chance and it not worked out, than done nothing and wondered "what if". I only mention she was Scottish and I was English beacause it`s not quite the same as one of you being from the holiday country. I`m always cynical of the "waiter romance". But for all the ones you see papers and womens mags were the waiter asks for money for his poor family or sees you as a passport to Britain, there must be some that are genuine.

RE: Can You Get Out Of A 12 Month Mobile Contract?

Sorry to continue the hijacked thread. It was a couple of years ago but T-Mobile once swapped me to Pay as you go with the same number & sim card that I had on the contract.

RE: BA: SE K750i on Vodafone CrossNet 200 (12m) - minimum term cost of £110 (after cashback)

I phoned customer services regarding the missing car charger. The guy I spoke to had bought one as well and had forgotten about the charger being part of the deal. He said they hadn`t come in yet and to phone back next Thursday if I hadn`t received it by then. I also phoned CPW to get a leather case for it, they haven`t come in yet either.

RE: BA: SE K750i on Vodafone CrossNet 200 (12m) - minimum term cost of £110 (after cashback)

Mine came today, delivered to home even though I asked for it to be delivered to work (good job the other half was in) Phone is great. The only moan was that the car charger was missing. Anyone get theirs? Thanks to the mighty RM for yet another great deal.

RE: BA: SE K750i on Vodafone CrossNet 200 (12m) - minimum term cost of £110 (after cashback)

Mine now says order complete and gives me a dispatch number, should arrive tomorrow (fingers crossed) When I phoned customers services yesterday, the guy told me they were coming in the end of this week/early next week. He also said they had an offer on for people who had bought one phone, for a Nokia 6610 on the same tariff but equal to 11 months free line rental (12 month contract). I know it`s not a recent phone, but £30 for the whole year sounded good. Just a pity my other half doesn`t like Nokia phones.

RE: COME ON LIVERPOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The joy of having a Toffee co-worker text me to say he won`t be coming in to work tomorrow as he can`t face me. PRICELESS

RE: What type of speed fine?

The first letter will just ask for the details of the driver at the time of the offence. Soon after, you will receive another letter telling you your fate. I got done for doing 86mph on M74 last month and was offered the usual 3 points and £60 fine. I don`t think the sliding scale you talk about is law (yet)

RE: First sign of summer?!

We had a couple of inches of snow today (Livingston) and the ice cream van still came round.

RE: WHAT PANASONIC 50HTZ. - 100HTZ.?

I`m also looking for a new TV and weighing up the 50 v 100. Never noticed much of a flicker on my current Daewoo 50htz. After looking in the usual Currys, Comet, etc I thought the Sony`s had the best picture. I went to our local Sony centre and asked the guy if he could show me the difference between 50 & 100. He put up the football results service up on both and the flicker on the 50 was really noticable, even worse than my Daewoo. On a normal channel, I couldn`t see a difference. He admitted the blur on anything fast moving was a critisism of 100`s. I watch a lot of football, so that put me off slightly. I plan to go to a friends who has a 100 and watch a match to see for myself. The guy from the Sony centre recommended Sony & Panasonic. If you have a Panasonic shop near you, they (like Sony) are giving you a 5 year warranty

RE: Who do you share your birthday with?

27th November. Me, Jimi Hendrix, Uncle Albert from "Only Fools & Horses, The bloke from "The Streets" and Gary "effin" Lucy from "Footballers Tarts"

RE: your fav Beatles song(s)

Early stuff - I saw her standing there
later on - Lady Madonna
slow - Something & while my guitar gently weeps.

RE: help with a kids birthday party.

I also live in Edinburgh and have taken my 5 year old to a few parties at "The Jelly Club" in Peffermill, just off Cameron Toll. Bouncy castles, peddle cars, adventure play and they can even do the party food if you like. Don`t know any costs, have only been to other kids parties there.

RE: Easyjet `Liverpool Bashing`

Most of us Liverpudlians do have a sense of humour and I sometimes use the scouse stereotype gag myself. Some people just feel strongly about it and there`s nothing wrong with that. There was a thread a couple of weeks ago about somebody complaining about London bashing. I can`t wait for the bishop bashing thread.

RE: dvd.reviewer.co.uk now on the banned list where I work

Thanks Robert, I`ll suggest that to the IT people tomorrow.

dvd.reviewer.co.uk now on the banned list where I work

After checking this site every lunchtime for the last 4 months I have been with my latest company, It now comes up "ACCESS DENIED". It turns out all those irritating pop-ups for dating agencies, casino`s & "to claim your prize, call this number" are to blame. They class the dating ones as something of a sexual nature, the gambling one is pretty standard anywhere and we are not allowed to make personal gain using company equipment eg winning prizes, entering contests and making money on Ebay, even in our own time. Looks like I`ll be even later in missing out on things like the Argos bargains.

RE: EBAY SCAMS,,,,,,,WILL THE FOOLS EVER LEARN.,.................

The buyer of the "link to get the phone"has posted positive feedback ????

RE: Football Manager Quotes

When asked for a quick word, by a commentator, Gordon Strachan replied "velocity".

RE: recomend me a digicamera with printer !

Canon and Kodak both do printer docks for their cameras.

RE: Liverpool FC..................What`s going on ???????

Murphy was told he wasn`t going to play much, so was given the choice to talk to other clubs who he would get more games playing for. Has his good points but as previously said, he gives the ball away to cheaply. As for being an Quote:
"arrogant wt[at]t",
why would he rather sit on the Spurs bench than Liverpool`s. The whole point of him moving is to get regular games, not to be in the same position with another club.
Owen is not the same player he was and maybe a move is best for everyone. A bit injury prone over the last couple of seasons. The world didn`t end when Keegan, Dalglish, Rush or Fowler stopped playing for us.

RE: DVD Cases @ Poundland

Bob-B,
There is a Poundland in Livingston, if you`re ever passing.

RE: So Where In Scotland Are You

Just moved out of Edinburgh to Livingston

RE: Liverpool sack Houllier...

Come on, he had to go. Bad signings, playing people out of position, playing not to get beat (boring, boring Arsenal style) He had too much early on and used up all his luck in the one season. "The treble", beating a team one division lower than us on pens, mugging the Gunners and the UEFA Cup with an own goal. Convincing stuff. The Kop booing doesn`t happen often and now GH`s biggest supporters, the board, have had enough. I think all us Liverpool fans thank him for trying his best but we must look forward now. Owen will eventually go and someone will replace him. Did the world end when Keegan went? Dalglish, Rush, Fowler all followed and the next big thing will appear, well thats what Celtic fans hope anyway. I wonder if Martin O came, would he get Henrik to join us for one season. Hmmmmm
