Canon and Kodak both do printer docks for their cameras.

You will find most cartridges pricey, i use hp compatibles on mine 25 notes for a black and colour though manufacts dont recommend them saying they will ruin machines i have had no probs. I would either look for a printer with a card reader built in or buying a sep card reader that plugs into your pc via usb, all you have to do is whip the cards out and transfer the images both methods are a lot faster then getting them off the camera directly. Depends on his budget HP and Epson have a couple of models also lexmark have a couple of interesting ones as well. Rather than the kodak and canon direct printing options as the ink and paper as well the machine can be even pricer. The problem is printer manfact all have fantastic printers and low prices but screw you with cartridges and not including usb/parrell leads in the boxes. I would prefer to pay more for the printer and less for the cartridges. Great time to be buying a digital camera at the moment the prices are great but remember spend more on one with optical zoom as well as digital and one that allows lager cards to be inserted not one with just onboard memory the best way i can describe them is supped up webcam, as you will great better quaility and definition with say 3x optical compared with 5x digital and get rechargable batts. Spoilt for choice which make have a look on amazon for some reviews.

don`t know about the camera, but for the printer i`d recomend the epson r300, you can get a full set of 6 carts for around £15 and they last ages + the printout quality is excellent & you can either use the built in memory card reader or plug the camera directly into the front of the printer :) it has a small lcd screen built in like most other printers of this kind, thus allowing you to select which photo`s you want to print, but you can also buy a dedicated Colour lcd that clip`s onto the top of the printer and lets you veiw the pictures properly before printing, another handy feature of the r300 is you can also print directly onto a cd/dvd if you wanted to. i paid £100 for mine from a local computer fair, but comet do it for the same price (online) inc free delivery :)
