Help needed with CD recorder

My dad has just purchased a Pioneer PDR-609 CD recorder to record his vinyl collection to CD. Does anyone know if you can `chip` this recorder so that you can use bog standard CD-Rs. When you put in ordinary CD-R`s you get `Pro-DISC` comes up on the display. In the instruction book it says "The loaded disc is a CD-R disc for professional use without CONSUMER USE designation"
Many thanks for any help

RE: Trading Standards Reply

It does seem that we have `lost`, so would now be a good time to join lots of co-buys and when they close reply: "Oh i`m terribly sorry i made a mistake"
Just an idea :-)

RE: DVD Player & 10 Free DVDs For £25

The only email i have recieved is the one stating that i have to pay 25 quid plus 3.95 postage. The whole thinks stinks off a cock-up and yes i think the mirror would be interested in the latest developments.

Photographer for the national press, keep your eye out for some beach totty in bournemouth that I did today!

RE: DVD Player & 10 Free DVDs For £25

The Mirror covered it today and had a guy from LetsBuyIt saying that they would `probably` honour the price. Lets hope so

RE: DVD Player & 10 Free DVDs For £25

I contacted the Mirror to point this out (they did quite a lot on the kodak situation) and they said they would look into it, so you never know, the threat of bad publicity might make them change their minds.

RE: Whats your best game of all time?

RE: What`s happened to Rings Auctions?

RE: 15 footballing headlines you won`t see in 2002.

The two timing footballer is none other than.................................................. Craig Hignett. So i cant really see what all the fuss is about.

RE: Whats your favourite movie quote?

OK its not a film but its still good. Regan from the Sweeney:

"We`re the Sweeney son, and we haven`t had any dinner."

Genius

RE: A TV Show that should be a movie...

No question its got to be the A-Team, Mel Gibson as Hannibal (or Clooney), Brad Pitt as face, Jim Carey as Murdoch, the chap from the Green Mile as B.A and then any fit bird as Amy. Probably Tommy Lee-Jones as Colonel Decker. Any better suggestions?

RE: Ocean`s 11 - superb!

Cool film but possibly the worst english accent since dick van dyke in marry poppins. Cant remeber the actors name (he was in Mission to Mars) but there was absolutely no need for an english character anyway.

Reg 1 is on play at 15.99 with shed loads of extras, but reg 2 is for 9.99 (released in march) but with no details of extras. Could somebody help b4 i part with the hard earned
