Anyone been able to get through to ebuyer`s customer services during the last few days?
Hi All,
I`ve placed a sizeable order with ebuyer, wanting next day delivery. The order status hasn`t changed the last 24 hrs (missing when I wanted the goods delivered), and I cannot get through on their customer services number, as they either immediately or after a brief message disconnect me.
Anyone else having the same?
Al
RE: Should I buy from Scan?
For the love of god, DO NOT BUY FROM SCAN!
RE: Problem with Scan - can anybody help?
Well after nearly a month of waiting, and countless phone calls and emails I`ve finally got my money back. I hope all those who`ve been reading these posts have learnt something from my experience, as I certainly have.
RE: Problem with Scan - can anybody help?
Still no damn refund. This is getting boring now...
RE: Problem with Scan - can anybody help?
Guess what? Still no refund!
RE: Problem with Scan - can anybody help?
Still no refund, even though my return report on the Scam web-site shows the refund has been approved.
RE: Problem with Scan - can anybody help?
Every time someone chips in with a comment like this I feel that all my complaining is achieving something.
RE: Problem with Scan - can anybody help?
Still no refund, after several phone calls and an unanswered e-mail...
I will start posting these messages daily to bump this thread to the top of the forum, for all to read until my money`s received.
RE: Problem with Scan - can anybody help?
Perhaps I spoke too soon, as it`s been a fortnight since they received the player, and still no refund...
RE: Problem with Scan - can anybody help?
I spoke to Scan today, and it seems as though I am being refunded after all. Don`t know whether it`s from Nilesh`s intervention or my persistence, but it`s the end result that matters, I suppose.
Either way, once the refund is received, no more business will I be putting Scan`s way.
RE: Problem with Scan - can anybody help?
Only to say he would try and sort out a refund.
RE: Problem with Scan - can anybody help?
Thanks for the info.- glad to read that my comments have had some kind of impact on Scan`s business.
I never did get that refund Nilesh talked about, so I guess there`s another lesson for us all there.
RE: Problem with Scan - can anybody help?
Why don`t we get a new thread going where we all catalogue our problems and experiences in our dealings with Scan - perhaps that way we can prevent others having to go through the same?
RE: Problem with Scan - can anybody help?
I feel 100% happier after reading the last post - well done Shoes!
RE: Problem with Scan - can anybody help?
Yes I have emailled him my stuff, but I`m not optimistic that I`ll be getting refunded any time soon.
RE: Problem with Scan - can anybody help?
That`s pretty much summed it up for me. I`m an over-worked underpaid teacher with an impending OFSTED inspection on the horizon, and this is basically crap I don`t need and can`t be bothered dealing with - hence my early throwing in of the towel.
RE: Problem with Scan - can anybody help?
How are these jokers still in business???
RE: Problem with Scan - can anybody help?
How long would that take, gettting trading standards on the case?

A little update for anyone who`s interested.
I`ve basically hit a brick wall in my attempts to be refunded and have grudgingly accepted a replacement dvd player. I guess I expected more than attitude off Scan`s phone-monkeys after having a duff dvd player after 2 weeks of use, waiting a month for a replacement and then receiving another duff unit (call me old fashioned). Their manager Manesh, I think, never did return my phone call.
Even more disappointing is that in one of my previous posts here I actually DEFENDED Scan and their customer services (fool that I was).
Suffice is to say I`m not happy about this, and for what good it`ll do I`ve written a letter of complaint, and have told, and will continue to tell, anyone with ears to avoid using Scan.
RE: Problem with Scan - can anybody help?
Thanks for your help all - it`s gratefully received. I`ll try again with them tomorrow and keep you updated.

Problem with Scan - can anybody help?
Having read plenty of posts slagging off Scan and their lousy customer service, I should really have known better, but I bought a Scan DVD player just before Xmas, which lasted for about 2 weeks before it packed in. I returned it to them (at my cost) and was told I`d have to wait about a fortnight for a replacement (fair enough). A month later it finally arrived, and guess what, this one was duff too.
When I finally got through to customer services (after about an hour`s wait), their attitude was that since more than a month had passed since I bouth the item, I wasn`t entitled to the refund I wanted.
I explained that the fact that a month had passed wasn`t my fault, as I was waiting for them to replace my original item, but the dimwit operator wasn`t interested. I then asked to speak to the manager, the guy on the telephone (Steve) flatly refused to put me through.
After about 10 minutes of bickering, I took the RMA number, and phoned them back, deliberately going through to the wrong department, and then asked for the manager of Customer Services. I was told he was on the phone, but they took my number and said they`d get back to me (surprise surprise they didn`t).
Has anyone got any advice on how to proceed on this?
Al
RE: PACKARD BELL 5.1 SPEAKER SYSYTEM £59.99 AT PC WORLD
To answer the 2 previous posts, my speakers took about a fortnight to arrive; and obviously make sure they`re connected properly, and that the audio setup is not on 2 channel.
RE: DVD Box Office Shipping Times
I`ve waited up to a month for items from them - this was over the xmas period, mind you.
RE: Tesco.com is back up and running...
back down again...
RE: October 30th and Play247
I had the same problem (waiting over a fortnight for a disc, again), and rang them. Got straight through, and they said it had been posted Friday, and if it hadn`t come by Wednesday to ring them. The disc arrived this morning.
I ordered a region 2 disc last week and it arrived 2 days after ordering it, so the delay is obviously R1 only.
RE: What`s up with Play247
I finally got my Simpsons box set, along with Phantom Menace, so I`ll also be continuing with them.
RE: What`s up with Play247
Hi,
I finally got through on the 0845 number, after one hell of a lot of persistance. I know how you feel about all the waiting - I was on the verge of cancelling all my orders with them (no small amount of them, either), but decided to persevere as they are usually very good (even if much slower lately)
RE: What`s up with Play247
I have finally gotten through to them (telephone), and another Simpsons box set is being sent out (when it`s back in stock). They never did answer my e-mails, though.
RE: Do NOT buy from Scan.co.uk.
being new to the forum doesn`t make me a liar, pal
RE: Do NOT buy from Scan.co.uk.
I recently ordered a Cyberhome dvd player, and received it on time, in perfect working order and with all necessary parts.
Personally I found them very good, and customer services fine too (I had to change my delivery option).
