Page 1 of Should I buy from Scan?
Retailer Reviews Forum
I have seen an offer on Scan.co.uk for a bundled AMD processor and RAM plus a decent motherboard. The deal will save me quite a bit of money but I have read about Scan`s poor reputation. Will I be okay cos they are third party branded components or should I not risk it in case I have to return them, this is apparently where Scan fall flat. I will be paying by credit card so I will have their additional cover also.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Nick
RE: Should I buy from Scan?
For the love of god, DO NOT BUY FROM SCAN!
STAY AWAY!!!!!!
They don`t deserve customers and the customer`s certainley don`t deserve them.

Shall I put you both in the undecided section then?
LOL
So I guess its not worth the risk over saving 80 quid.

I`d give somewhere like http://www.komplett.co.uk a whirl, personally.

Nick, I only removed it once I was sure you`d got some answers here :-)
Oh ye of little faith ! Most folk visit all forums, so it was just a question of time.
Seems you`ve got the consensual viewpoint you wanted !
Komplett are excellent, by the way : firmly recommend you create an account and get signed up to their weekly e-mail : they have four special offers each and every week, and there`s usually a bargainous hard drive in there (this weeks was an 80 gig, 8 Mb cache job for £66)
