I`ve used Play before with 1st class results but this time they have taken two weeks so far to even change my status to "processing" my order for a R2 Bridgette Jones.
When I ordered it it was "in stock" etc - "24hrs" to deliver - two weeks ago.
I can`t cancel the order cos they`ve set it as "processing" and their phone line is constantly engaged - it can`t be engaged for everyone all the time!
My email query receives an automated reply which tells me it will 5 days for a response.
Poor, poor standards- avoid!!

I have had Space R2 BBC documentary processing since Mon 3rd Dec
The only email address they answer is 12liame[at]moc.742yalp but could take 24 hours or so
Their response to my complaint on processing times above which I got this AM was
"Sorry for the delay in posting your item. This is due to a small backlog caused by the volume of orders at this busy time. We are working 24 hour shifts at present to cope with the demand and your order will be posted for you by Monday morning, due for delivery in 3 to 5 working days.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused and thankyou for your understanding and valued custom."

I did eventually get through and they promise me it will go out this weekend due to being flooded with orders.
It`s still crap that it is taken the a fortnight to even dog the dvd out, that`s if they have even reached that stage.
They also said that "dispatched in 24 hours" didn`t mean exactly that but that the order would be "dealt with in 24 hours". I pointed out that there is a distinct differenece in the two phrases.
Their loss as I won`t use play again.
You`ll have to be patient once they have sent it what with the Xmas post. I`ve waited a week so far dince desptach for Pearl Harbor and I NEED it by Xmas eve.
Same here, been waiting nearly 2 weeks no sign of Pearl Harbour Iordered which still shows as available within 24 hours.
Can`t get through on the phone, sent an email a week ago and got the reply below.
They are obviously extremely busy and although i am disappointed i have not received my order, play247 are a good company in my opinion and therefore I dont want to complain too much, it must be hard to imagine and cope with the huge amounts of orders they must have at this time of year!!
Hopefully it will arrive soon!!

Still no sign of it but the money was taken from my account on 13.12.2001. The post isn`t that slow just now.

jesus christ, i just ordered the almost famous directors cut from them, all my orders coming within 3 days usually, it said on the web site my order was posted 2 days ago but with these tales, then s*** i suppose i better not hold my breath. Their service has been degrading over the last 6 months or so anyway, i think i`m gonna have to find somewhere else to shop.

My Bridgette Jones turned up yesterday too after what, over three weeks.
I sould have just gone to WHSmith paid the extra £3 and saved the hassle.
I`ve never had a problem with Play, all my disks come within 3 days,even a week before christmas.
