Wouldn`t you agree 2 days before items are even dispatched is bordering on the ridiculous?

I would. Amazon have not impressed me here, it is 48 hours since I placed my order and it still hasn`t been dispatched. I`m been told asking for first-class post doesn`t speed up the process at all, so whats the deal?

How does it take 48 hours to pack a fricking parcel and send it? Now I can`t cancel my order because they`ve been preparing to dispatch... since last night I might add. Alright its probably still good compared with others, but it`s crap compared with my previous experiences with amazon..

if you paid for postage than that is very odd. If you used to free delivery service thats quite normal as it usually gets posted on the third day, sometimes even the fourth.

So in your experience this is what happens?

I go back a month I ordered 4 books, all with free postage, just coming over £19. Dispatched next day. DHL took a week to deliver but that`s another story.

I go back to boxing day... I ordered 2 games coming to £19 and Alias season 2 for £20(separate I might add) and they had all arrived by the 29th. I mean come on your trying to tell me I`ve just been lucky in these instances of free delivery?

tbh, i`ve only ever used amazon about 4 times & it`s been free super saver shipping each time, & i`ve allways got my parcel next day (bar once when they had no stock, but i allready knew that when i ordered & once it showed as instock it came next day) my recent audio book bargain was even delivered at 7.15AM on a Saturday :o but i may have just been lucky, like i say i havn`t used them much.

I`ve always had to wait a couple of days for stuff to be despatched if it`s on the free delivery routine. I think a lot depends on what you`re ordering and when you order it.

It depends how much they have going out. If they`ve taken a big set of orders, things could be taking a little bit longer.

Were the items in stock when you ordered?

My last order, the order dispatch notice arrived practically the same time as the parcel, so they might have sent it already?

You haven`t ordered a buch of clearour games, have you?

My order was placed with them on the 9th, and it`s still open, even though everything was instock when i ordered it, and on 24 hour availability.

In my experience, this is when they turn around and say they can`t get one or more of your items. >:(

Speaking of clearout games, I got the HL2 tin from amazon courtesy of the BB forum. I ordered on the 8th and to bump the price up to free delivery I got a Lone Wolf and Cub book for 4 quid.

Both stated they had a 24 hour turnaround. The HL2 tin was despatched on the 12th, fair enough, I thought because there was a huge saving on that.

What took the p*** though was the lone wolf and cub book was dispatched today! I wasnt even that desperate for it, but a bloody bog standard book, presumably amazons bread and butter, took nearly 2 weeks to get sent out! WTF?

There cant have been a huge surge in demand and to take virtually 10 working days to despatch something with a quoted 48 hr turnaround is a Joke, imho......

Dear Gamesmaster,

My Friend keeps talking about `Girls`.
What is `Girls` and is it XBox compatable?
