DVD Soon, are they ripping us off with their delayed dispatch
Are DVD Soon secretly making money out of all of us by charging our credit cards straight away and delaying our order for weeks.
If this is the case they are secretly making thousands of dollars a week at the customers expense by gaing the interest from our money. They are one of few major retailers I know of who charge our credit cards instantly.
Splash also charged our CC straight away and look what happened to them.
I ask this because I always order a DVD with a 48 hour dispatch description but I never get a 48 hour dispatch. The dispatch is always several weeks later which means they could have gained several weeks of interest on money which should have made me interest. :/

If you don`t like the way they work don`t use them.

CD-Wow, Movietyme and plenty more, I`m sure.
My DVD collection.

I think you`ll find CD WOW charge our cards upon dispatch.

You have an option with Movietyme as to whether you want instant billing or on dispatch.
I never use companies who bill at time of order. Too risky IMHO ;)

CD Wow have always taken the money out of my account after they have dispatched my DVD.
There was one occassion when the item I ordered was out of stock and they kindly sent me an email informing me of this, they also told me that money would not be taken out of my account until the item was back in stock. I received a disptach email 4 days later, can`t complain when it comes to CD-Wow. :D

When buying in another currency, I quite like paying immediately. It means if there are fluctuations in the exchange rate it doesn`t matter.
Oh, and its quite possible that DVD Soon have to pay when they order items?

It`s a bit of an old chestnut I`m afraid, DVD Soon has it`s loyal followers among us and just as many who decided that the admittedly cheap prices did not compensate for the aggro and frustration the constant delays and unanswered emails provoked.
I personnally had about a dozen discs from them and every one was a nightmare, others will say they have never had a problem.

CD Wow don`t take your money at any stage - WorldPay do, and they take it at time of order.
