>:( PLEASE CAN ANYONE ADVISE ME HOW TO GET MY PAID FOR DVD OFF SPLASH! I ORDERED IT ONE MONTH AGO-WILL NOT RETURN EMAILS - CANNOT GET THROUGH ON THE PHONE! HELP WHAT CAN I DO? HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM AND HAS ANYONE FOUND A WAY OF CONTACTING THEM??? PLEASE I AM AT MY WITS END?????
Clare,
go to the Retailer Reviews forum and do a search on Splash and you will find you are not alone in your despair. There are lots of comments around about how to get refunds, contact the manager, contacting your credit card provider and Trading Standards etc. Take your pick about which approach suits you best.
Splash have a very poor reputation for late delivery`s, but they do usually arrive -eventually - [and can be contacted via their website], but often long after buyers (including myself on occasions) have lost patience. If they aren`t delivering quickly enough you can cancel the order and get a refund, but they aren`t always in a hurry to do this either.
Don`t Panic because they won`t run off with your money, but do check the forum out to get an idea about what to do next.
RE: UNDELIVERED SPLASH DVDS!
Hi Clare
I ordered 4 DVDs on the 27th November. The final one arrived in the middle of February.
SPLASH are not usually fast!!!!!!!!
I ordered knowing that they were slow (but cheap).
I sent several polite emails when I was told by SPlash that a DVD had been despatched but hadnt arrived with me 2 weeks later. They replied to all of them within a few days. I suggest that you are prepared to wait - do so, your DVD will arrive eventually. If not email them politely asking for your payment to be returned - I believe that they are also slow to return payments.
Yes they certainly are slow - but with patience everything has arrived so far ! A lot of people loathe Splash. I tend to purchase small numbers of dvds from them. Recently after noticing a decrease in price of a dvd I had previously ordered and hadn`t received - I cancelled the order (Splash confirmed my CC was credited) and I re-ordered again - that was a month ago and yes I am still waiting. I tried to get through to their CS by phone yesterday and it took 45mins to get an answer.......they inform of where you are in the queue....the guy on the other end was polite (I bet he gets a lot of stick !) . But be warned ...do not phone Splash CS near to their closing time (usually 5.30) ....you could easily wait 40 minutes and be told `sorry we are now closing !`.....
Hi,I had this trouble,an unfullfilled order after 3 months.I used their email (web page) form.
I was polite at first, but when they did not answer 3 times I became more aggresive and it did the trick.
It may sound a bit petty but I submitted an email saying if they did not refund my money within 3 working days,I would post on as many public forums as humanly possible how poor their service was.
I copied the text in my email before submitting, hit the back button(which blanked the page),pasted the same text into the page again and resubmitted,i.e. sent it a second time.
I did this about 50 times, and it took less than 2 minutes to do.
So although they don`t reply to emails usually,in my case they would have seen about 50 emails, all the same, and all grouped together.
Amazingly they replied within one day,and refunded me.
...........and I have not used them since, and swear I never will again;ever.
For all the hassle of saving a quid or so they are simply not worth it in my opinion.
They take forever and often cannot come up with the goods full stop.
The DVD I was trying to get I since learned was never given a R2 release.I told them this months back, yet it is still listed on their site as "usually dispatched in 3-5 working days".
A valid point, but not a bargain! ;)

I ordered 3 x Nemo DVD in Jan, which were due for dispatch last friday, release day. Have not received them, have sent e-mails no response. Tried their phone tonight at 5.15pm, by 5.45pm was number 3 in queue, then got message saying office closed, call back another time. This is appalling call centre practice, they should cut entries to the queue at 5.30pm and answer all calls in the queue. Also ordered a DVD in early Feb for 1 week delivery, still not received. Have had previous problems with their special offer DVD`s. They don`t seem to do anything until you chase them. But they are cheap.
Does anyone have a good e-mail for them, rather than the website form that they seem to ignore ?
I have 3 outstanding orders since the beginning of January.Have e-mailed them time and time again.Don`t mind waiting myself but one is ordered for my son with his Christmas money. How do I explain to him how useless Splash are.Previously ordered with no problems though. So what is going on at Splash now?
I have the same problem as most with SplashDVD, have 3 separate orders made in January, 2 of which have been partially completed, and the other yet to be sent.
I dont mind waiting, but I know it can be frustrating after the 7-14 days despatch notice goes by and there`s still no news of when your DVD is to be sent. They should update you via email once the 14 days expire and keep you posted, so we know they havent forgotten us. This would at least help improve the customer service a little bit.
Also I ordered the Beverly Hills Cop boxset at 6.99, and it was dispatched but 2 weeks later it didnt come, so I called them - and they sent another copy the following day, which I got within 4 days - so at least they didnt ignore me.
Still awaiting 4 DVDs though - might get them this year if I`m lucky.
