DVDSOnTap/LoveFilm.com -Getting Slower?
Is it just me or is dvdsontap.com (renamed lovefilm.com) getting slow at turning round rentals. six months ago I could turn round two dvd rentals a week now I seem to be lucky to get one?
Any good alternatives...I`ve had enough! :)
RE: DVDSOnTap/LoveFilm.com -Getting Slower?
I`ve only been a customer since before Xmas, I`m currently getting 2 titles a week...

I used to. Been with thm around 6 months or so. If I were a cynic I`d say new customers get priority. Once you`re hooked you get taken for granted.
On the other hand it could be that they have grown too quick and are a victim of their own success.
Either way, if this continues it`s "goodbye from me"

new customers must be getting priority as i,ve been on trial for 1 week(3 rentals level)
and had 6 dvds, plus i`ve got an extra 2 weeks by clicking on cancel membership so 4 week trial basically.

I thought ScreenSelect were excellent.
They all offer free trial though - so just go round them all and settle on your favourite, maybe the one that has the biggest catalogue or the one that turns around quickest.

I too joined dvdsontap as a paying member with no free trial.
First fours weeks superb, 2 DVD`s every week, sometimes squeezed in 3.
Fifth week onwards, they got a bit slower.
Eighth week onwards, only managed one per week, they were very slow.
Tenth week cancelled my membership, with great amount of hassle and POP-UP windows.
If only everything was half price at Woolies !

Hi,
Mailbox Movies ain`t bad. Pity the others claiming 16,000 titles etc can`t tell the truth. When you check it out, they only have `access` to that number. In my experience it is all bull.
The ones that claim less than 5,000 can at least be believed. The older ones seem to be the more honest although some of them are also joining the `bull****` trail to.
DVD Showtime give good personal service and they tell me that they give priority to those that put a title on their list earlier and higher. If I understand it, this means that generally, loyal customers get priority.
Hope this helps.
