Page 1 of Very cheap DVD`s
Retailer Reviews Forum
I know others have posted about this company in the past but well worth repeating.
Just received my first delivery of 4 DVD`s from dddhouse.com a HongKong dealer, with super service and prices you would not believe.
The discs appear to be genuine and delivery from HongKong was in less than a week. They also do even cheaper VCD`s
Heres just a few examples of their prices.
The others DTS £3.20
Insomnia DTS £5.00.
Oh Brother where art thou £ 3.20
Rush hour 2 DTS £ 3.20
Delivery was equally cheap
The cases obviously have Chinese and English titles, so if that bothers you, best to pass on by.
Heres the link to the page for western movies on the huge site : http://www.dddhouse.com/cms/dddhouse/en/index.jsp?action=cat&categoryID=15
Cheers P.
Ordered from them a while ago, got some western DVD`s but also older John Woo films such as The Killer and Bullet In the Head (£5 each) which i could not find under £20 each over here.
Word of warning, I got stung with a customs charge, and as far as i have noticed none of the DVD`s i ordered have any extras on them except a biography here and there, so they are different from R1 R2 counterparts.
If its just the film you are after well worth a try.
Doesn`t look to bad I have been using Coolashop.com and was inpressed how cheap they were, very similar prices to dddhouse.
How much was the shipping costs, I used Fedexe which cost about £24 for 11 DVD`s but with that I could track my order from the moment it left the shop.
But Coolasho didn`t seem to have a massive list of titles that I wanted possibly becouse they were from Korea and not HK.

Shipping costs for the four I chose was 90hk dollars ( about a fiver ) and as I said, on the order form where there is a space for comments I asked them to ship in two seperate lots to avoid any problems with customs.
There was no extra charge for this and both parcels turned up on the same delivery. ;-))
Not really a bargain, as these are the prices DDD House have always charged - remember R3 disc have no extras, although often have a dts soundtrack

I beg to differ, young Sir.
It`s your perogative to move a post if you so wish, but 4 good movies with or without the often padded extra`s for £ 20.00 delivered is a bargain.
And whether its the normal price or a special deal I understood bargain buckets to be about bargains and I call this a bargain.
What do you think folks ?
Agree kywy.
See other posts in Bargain forum and people either say `yup, it`s a bargain` or `thanks but you can get it here for £xx` I agree it`s not a bad deal (especially for the people who want to buy a FILM and watch it - they couldn`t care less about `extras`).
Like you say, doesn`t seem a `review` on a `retailer` to me.
However........"Be aware that Moderators do not need to explain their reasoning, and their decision is FINAL.".............
;o)

Most people are already aware that DVDs sold by DDD House are cheap enough already, so we`re not being told anything new (a quick search on the Forums of "ddd house" would show you that !).
The prices quoted in this thread are the normal prices from a retailer which I totally agree is 100% fandabbidozee. So, yes it`s a bargain, but it`s a very well-known one...
Now if they reduced their prices to £1 a disc, that would be a bargain !!
Just watch those customs limits when ordering (£18) - HMCE have been getting a bit heavy with DDD House parcels of late, I understand.

Clayts, I`m not arguing with you. honest! ;-)) but have you noticed how many new members we have who won`t know about dddhouse ( I only came across them myself by chance ) and that I believe makes it a legitimate bargain post.
There ! I`ve said my final tuppence worth.
