Page 1 of PC channel or AV

Hi
If I am watching HD Movies on my PC to my HDTV via a HDMI/DVI cable what channel will I watch them on?
Do I still need my VGA cable connected?
How do I know if the HDMI/DVI is connected and to which slot, I figured it must be AV7 as the other are for games and cam.

Get yourself a cheap DVI to VGA adapter for the video card on the pc and a MALE/MALE VGA cable.Plug the DVI/VGA adapter in to the video card on the PC and the VGA in to the adapter and the TV PC input.
You will need to select PC input from the television menu.
You will also need to connect the audio from the soundcard to the PC Audio input on the television using , again, a set of phono leads .

Depends entirely on the inputs and outputs. If your PC and TV have HDMI, you`re laughing as it carries audio and video. If the PC has DVI and the TV HDMI, then you`ll need a DVI to HDMI adaptor to hook it up. You`ll also need to hook audio from the PC into the TV. If both use DVI you won`t need an adaptor, but you`ll still need a separate audio connection.
If using any of these connections, you`ll probably be on AV1 or AV2 of the TV.
I unplugged the vga a cable and now it works fine, it is on AV7, the only issue I have now is the HDMI/DVI cable needs to be at a certain level or you get the green lines.
Also when i tried playing the dark knight, I got this message, fail to enable HDCP please switch to analogue output (VGA, D-SUB) Error code = 0107. there is nothing wrong with the disc as it ran through the VGA cable. It ran matrix trilogy fine, through the HDMI/DVI @ 1920/1080.
I downloaded anydvd and everything is fine now. apart from my bank balance.
thanks for the help
