found my CD-ROM of the original QUAKE and thought I`d install it and give it a go again, but it won`t run under XP. What do I have to do to get it to run ?? Hopefully not install a copy of W95?

can`t you right click on the .exe and set compatability mode for Windows 9x?
it might be worth seeing if there are any patches for it to work under newer versions Windows.
