I want to play the advanced resolution 5.1 tracks on my spangly Lord of the Rings complete recordings sets via my PC but have no idea how to do it... is it possible?
I`m guessing I`ll need a good sound card rather than my on-board sound?
What else? Any software requirements?
Please help :)
EDIT: I have tried Googling btw, but it`s all a bit confusing... :/

Hello,
There are two essential things you need as a minimum; A 5.1 soundcard and playback software with DVD-Audio capablities (CyberLink Power-DVD (not the freebie one) does it for example)
These will give you the surround, but you will still need a good SW and great speakers to get the full affect.
