Got an acrobat font problem

Pete-MK (Elite Donator) posted this on Friday, 23rd November 2007, 22:43

Got a pdf file, but when i try to open it, I get a message saying something along the lines of `Cannot Find or convert font BAAAAA+Verdana-Bold`. I`ve tried google, and even some of the cheesier `FREE FONTS!!!!!!!` sites, but no joy. Can anyone point me in a vaguely promising direction?

Have a look in Edit, preferences, then select the Page Display Category.
There`s an option on there called Use Local Fonts. Change that, and maybe that`ll work.

Also Verdana I think is a standard font in Office, at least I`ve got it on my machine, try searching for Verdana on your machine.

If you`ve got Verdana on your Pc and the above trick in Acrobat doesn`t work, maybe you need to reinstall Acrobat ?

Hope some of this helps

Got it working, it was opening with an adobe viewer, rather than the reader.

Cheers anyway
