Is there a program to check the speed you get from Cable.

I posted an earlier thread saying NTL had upgraded me from 1 to 2meg but I`m still not convinced I`m getting 2meg

oh lord, that`s a good one! can we trust this speed test ? i heard they are not accurate. is it true?

speedtest.net tests can give varying results, do 3 tests on the servers closest to you, the best result will be close to your maximum "true" speed.

Blimey 2meg back in them days, no way could I cope with that speed now

Heh...I figured that once I got on to my 16Mb connection I`d never need any faster.
I now keep checking to see when the FTTC rollouts are taking place so I can get 40Mb/s!
