Need Freeware Screen Capture program due to re-loading XP

Last Saturday I had to re-load XP onto my pc. I did have a small program that sat on the desktop for this ( a freeware screen capture program), even had it stored on a disk!, but I sent the disk to my nephews in Oz while back. Now I can`t remember the name of the program. Any advice on such programs and where to download them. The one I had I downloaded from somewhere.
The pc having been invaded with a virus that total F**k it up, despite service pack 2`s firewall, AVG.7 and one or two other hunter/killers commercial freeware version programs. I`m just a little nervous of going on one of the download sites without recommendations as while I am using MS`s auto-update, I still have to download service pack 2 and its improved firewall (will do it soon, but its a four hour download). So any thoughts appreciated.

What`s wrong with the old Alt-PrintScreen combo? And then pasting into MSPaint?

I lazy :D The program I had copied the image into its (the programs) own holding file. All you had to do was hit Print Screen and it was done.

This is what I use. Completely free and works easily and well.
