I have a problem when i try and log on the net. Each time i launch AOL it locks the computer and task manager shows that svchost.exe is using 100% CPU load for around 10-15 mins. I use mcafee, adware, spy bot, microsoft spy ware and nothing is found. Does anyone know how to cure the problem?
RE: SVCHOST.EXE causes 100% CPU load. Please help!

Its caused by a worm thats makes its own svchost.exe, have a look here for info about it and how to remove it :B
Your anti-virus has probably got rid of the worm (or it should have) but the svchost.exe it creates won`t be recognized because there are various svchost.exe programs that are legitimate.
