It means something in your internet set-up is preventing you from seeing images

Try emtying your Internet Cache, it could be full.
Please can someone help?
I`ve tried all the above and still get the red cross in box, in quite a few web sites, but not all :/
Its driving me mad. I managed to sort it out once, but can`t remember how, I think it happens whenever I upgrade avg7 or Zone Alarm.
Please help.

Tried that, nothing happens. Also disabled google popup that didn`t help.

I seem to recall this mentioned before. It has happened to me from time to time. If my memory serves me well it is an ISP problem, that rectifies itself the next day, or when the ISP fixes itself.
See if it happens again tomorrow.
I`m with pipex and have mentioned this problem before. But lately its been going on for just over a week. Roundabou the time I was having problems with AVG7 updating. It seems to be happening more with a particular site "makro mail", when I click on a particular picture on their online mailshot. I`ll email Pipex see if they know any way round it.

update: spoke to Pipex - their answer was "they don`t block anything, check your virus checkers, IE or try and see if you get same problem via netscape" Don`t really want install netscape though

Do you have any ad blocking software installed? Has your hosts file been modified?
Right click on one of the missing images - go to properties. What are the urls of the blocked images.
Don`t think I have any ad blocking software (other than pop-up google blocker, how could i check if my hosts file has been modified ?
Tis is the url of the blocked image. When I go into properties all other fields say "not available" - connection "not encrypted" and HyperText Transfer Protocol. Could this mean the site is having the problems?
