T-Mobile reduced rate for pay monthly

cody1 (Harmless) posted this on Monday, 12th July 2004, 11:39

I`ve just attempted to cancel my subscription to T-Mobile Freetime 750 which has been costing me £13.99 a month for the last 18 months or so. When I phoned to cancel they offered to reduce the subscription to £6.99 a month!!

I`m pretty disgusted that it took the risk of cancellation for them to offer this deal to me. As it was I was cancelling due to inferior reception issues.

I have now placed an order through the orange shop for a brand new Samsung E700, on the OVP Freetime 750 @ £13.99 per month. Everyone I know on Orange has had good reception where I previously haven`t with T-Mobile, so I`m sure it`s the right move to make.

But for those still on T-Mobile, it may be worth threatening cancellation to see what reductions you may be offered!

Loads of deals around at the minute - I have T mobile 750 for 99p for the year through a cashback deal. Just depends if you want a snazzy phone or not.

Diverse - deal was actually £18.99 for a Nokia 3510i with T mobile 750 - had to stump up £161 which I got back two months later. The company was Forward Cellular (excellent rep - no I don`t work for them) - their deals at the minute are good but no 99p SIMs. You could buy the Nokia 3100 with T mobile 750 at £70 and flog the phone on EBAY for £60ish - or £30 for Vodaphone 200 anytime SIM.

I`d watch your bills if I was you.....I`ve been on Orange now for 4 years and every time I get my bill these days it`s higher - and I`m not using it anymore.

When I questioned them about it, they said that prices do rise and that I could always buy my way out of the contract.............for over £500!!!

Needless to say, they wont be getting my business from January onwards >:(
