Page 1 of Best free adware/spyware removal safe software...?

Hi, the title says it all really...I`m sick of the pop-ups that Pop-Up Killer just doesn`t kill...is there a utility that will get rid of it all without harming other legitimate installations?

It might seem as though I am championing and banging drums throughout various forums on this, but I would recommend using Mozilla Firefox 0.9 as your default browser because it works and does what it says on the tin.

For site which you wish to allow popups, it is very easy to add it to an exceptions list.

I agree with Cyanide69 Mozilla Firefox is Much better than IE. I cann`t remember having any pop up problems since I started using Firefox. Plus tabbed browsing is great :)

Yup, have to agree - have been using Mozilla for ages now through the various 0.x releases, including the nightly builds and have had no real probs

As an alternative have recently started playing with Avant Browser available here
Like Mozilla, has pop-up blockers, tabbed browsing, etc but claims to be 100% IE compatible with far more control - certainly seems to be, have had no problems on sites that previously would only work with IE.
A little bit of registry tweaking and you can even have XP think this is IE :D

righto, downloaded mozilla and it looks cool :) and i like the way it organises downloads (tho i never had any probs with ie either ) only problem i`ve had so far is it won`t work with trend housecall :( but thats not a massive problem as i can manually start ie and use it through that :)

i`m kicking mozilla out for now, to many incompatability issues at the moment but i`ll try it again when the "full" version is ready, i`m gonna give AVANT a try :) (smiley inserted manualy due to mozilla not supporting the feature)

Spolier thing doesn`t work though, I def prefer it to IE, love the yabbed browsing and pop up killer is much better than others I`ve tried.

I only use IE for 2 web sites which do online virus scans.

On the original point, Pestpatrol, spybot, and adaware are 3 tools I`ve used and would recommend for finding, stopping removing spyware. Pestpatrol seems best to me for catching it moment it arrives and deleting it, runs in background, doesn`t seem to slow my pc down.

same here, and as for the smileys, thats what i mean, i have to type them in myself rather than use the tab. and tbh since installing service pack 2 i have not had 1 single pop-up, so i`ll probably end up sticking with ie :/ even tho i liked both avant & mozilla. as for spyware/anti-virus, this is what i use.
