Where can i buy a decent spec PC with Int free credit facilities?

Neiliboy (Elite) posted this on Thursday, 29th April 2004, 15:32

Hi guys,

I want to buy a fairly decent spec PC, mainly for internet, downloading, home movies and digital camera. I will rarely use it for games or even movies.

I`m after a decent spec PC - mainly for future proofing if nothing else and i prefer to use the interest free credit facility.

So can anybody help?

Many thanks in advance....

Neil

The Cybermaxx PC at Toys R US (mentioned MANY times on various threads) is available interest free, 10% deposit, then nothing to pay for 12 months.

Pentium 3.2Ghz processor,17" TFT, for £1,099 - I bought mine 3 weeks ago!!

Is it actually pay nothing, or is it monthly payments until you settle? I`ve been looking into this (decided not to build my own in the end), I know I`m due some cash soon, then perhaps some in December, but everywhere that I`ve looked at says Pay nothing until ..., but actually expects a monthly payment until this time.

Any advice?

I was expecting it to be "Pay Something Monthly", but it seems to be "Pay Nothing" according to the correspondence I`ve had from them, certainly nothing has been taken yet!

Cheers beth1969, went into ToysRUs yesterday and piked up a Pentium 3.4 for £1099 (didn`t have any in stock but are getting it from another store today/tomorrow).

I don`t suppose you know what make the motherboard/graphics/DVDRW are? I didn`t see any speakers, are these included?

I didn`t get caught up in the excitement of retail, honest :D

Just in case you haven`t already signed your life away roar, I have no idea about the motherboard (I`m a girl, after all :) ), the DVD RW is a Pioneer, the DVD ROM is a Sony (don`t know where to find anything more specific - or, more like, can`t be bothered to look ;) ), the graphics is NVidia GeForce FX5200 (pretty s***e, according to those in the know, but I don`t play many games at the mo), and there are no separate speakers, just some little ones in the monitor.

HTH.

Already got it, but so far I`m quite impressed.
