Saving live/historic radio streams to CD/DVD...

hopethishelps (Competent) posted this on Monday, 1st March 2004, 12:53

Hi,
I love listening to `essential mix` on radio 1 but its on at 2am in the morning. I used to record this onto minidisc with the timer on the radio, but often got interference from the radio..

On BBC.CO.UK/RADIO1 you can now get historic shows, does anyone know what software I need or how can I save these on my hard Disc or copy straight to CD???
I would class myself as a beginner when it comes to this sort of stuff..so any help much apreciated

Thanks in Advance..

Have a look here at Total Recorder at just over £6. Excellent little app. - a word of warning though BBC only stream at mid forties (in comparison to 128-192 for others) over the net so not the best quality.

Spartacus is right, very good programme, the only thing to watch is that it installs its own driver, and was I tried to playback some track setup in Ejay Dance 4 the sound was all screwed up so I had to remove Total Recorder. I am sure that there is a way to have both programmes running together but I don`t know it.
