Do any of you listen to radio on your pc?
I was wondering if there is any good software out there for me to listen to radio on my pc.
Are there any dedicated radio software players for listening to radion on the pc?

too right!...am never in for the best BBC radio shows and can listen to stuff like `I`m sorry I haven`t a clue` and `Just a Minute` (together with plenty of other programmes) as and when I need to using the BBC Radio Player you can find on their site. As for other stations, a quick search for `online radio` in Google should help as well :-).

It does depend on the station - I listen to radio 2 all day at work via their own player, found on their website as mentioned above. Virtually all decent UK stations have a similar system, whether that`s a proprietry system or through real/media player. Best way is to check the website of the station you are interested in.
Most of the internet only stations are complete pants and not worth the effort (not much of a sweeping statement there you notice...)

Windows media player allows you to find some excellent stations, i often listen to the radio with that. Some mp3 players like musicmatch also let you listen to radio stations.

I`m another with Radio 2 on all day at the office via the BBC website. It`s excellent. :D Windows Media Player is pretty good too at connecting to different stations from all over the world.
Most radio stations have websites where you can listen live over the net. You should have Windows Media/Real Media installed, but the websites will inform you on what you need. I`ve just checked out Kiss100, Heart and xfm all on the net and they sound okay.

I`ve just tried the ViddiPlayer (check the link in the above post) and I`m impressed! Nice little app with a drop-down box with numerous stations including all national BBC, Capital Gold, Kiss, etc.

I use the streaming to record programmes off BBC7 (I dont bother recording via my DAB set as the BBC in their infinite wisdom have decided to broadcast BBC7 in mono - one step forward, two steps back...).
But generally radio vis the net is a great thing and will get better and better.

Get winamp 5. With that you can listen to the thousands of shoutcast internet radio stations. Most are just guys on decks playing into their P.Cs but there are some really good professional ones too.
I found one that broadcast bill hicks standups 24hrs a day once.
