Page 1 of System Volume Information - 3,703 MB

Just downloaded TreeSize (see previous post) and it`s shown that I have a folder called System Volume Information which is 3,703MB! What is all this space being used for? Is it possible for me to delete it all or free up most of it?
Thanks.

I can`t quite answer that, but I did look that folder up on my computer running Windows XP. The folder is part of the vital system files and therefore hidden, unless unticked. Mine is 0 bytes in size, but it won`t allow me to open it anway ("Access Denied").

I had roughly the same on my pc. Its most likely System Restore information if you are running xp.
To remove it just switch System Restore off to reclaim the 4GB then back on. Make sure you also set a new restore point once you have done that.

Try this.. ;-)
May be worth lowering the %age allocated to Restore.
