Does anybody know if the PSX2 dvd player is multi region?

No it isn`t, although it may be chippable which of course invalidates the warranty.

The problem with the PSX2 DVD playback (on the UK model) is that it does not use the RGB Scart cable. I defaults to a compostite output giving you a green picture. And here is the reply from Sony Technical (!) support. Quote "ummmmm does it?....." un-quote. Yee ha way to go Sony. So wants to buy it?

Supposed to be crap for home cinema anyway. One reviewer said "Ideal for the bedroom"
